Do you think I could convince my army recruiter to hook me up?

You can do it in one day, but you'll be at MEPS the whole time, outside of your recruiters guidance. If he's trying to have you test in advance, it's for your own good. If you test at MEPS, you'll have no idea of the jobs for which you qualify, and you'll be at the mercy of the liaison.

Your recruiter will tell you all the jobs you can have, and you'll be able to take your time to choose, rather than making a decision on the spot.

If at all possible, I would avoid taking the test at MEPS while you're doing your physical at the same time. If I remember correctly, when I joined the Air Force, I was at MEPS all day for the stupid physical. It's exausting. Then to add on another few hours for a test? Forget it. You're much better off taking it away from MEPS where you won't be at their mercy.

What's your hurry. Whatever it is, you're better off dealing with it and allowing the enlistment process to work through in it's own time. You're talking about a commitment of several years of your life, that could potentially change the course of your life, your career... Take your time joining.. make sure you're going into a job that is a good fit for you.
