I have a Senior Project that I have to make 2 surveys for. 1 for civilians and another for soldiers (active or retired doesn't matter). I have to get 50 people and soldiers to take the one that is specifically for them. I know very few military people and only a few can help me out (many of them are in Iraq or training). The project is about the way the media covers the war in Iraq. While the surveys ask your opinion and sources for your information. If you really would help me by taking this survey I will contact you (just to warn you ahead of time).
Thank you,
CadetKAt

I seems to me that if you join the armed services, you would want the chance to put your training to work. I did, I came out of the Marines in 1998 and knew the whole time I might have to go ANYPLACE at ANYTIME and I went to a few places I really didn't want to. So why join if you don't want to fight, the food isn't that good.

In WW2 the Nazis lied to their people about an attack by Poles as an excuse to invade. They then invaded, plundered and murdered their way through the country. In 2002 the American government lied to its people about weapons of mass destruction. They invaded and continue to plunder and murder their way through Iraq. Are Bush and his cronies the new Nazis? Should the US be renaimed the Fourth Reich?

The German arny got to within 20 miles of downtown Moscow. All the commies fleed for Siberia, but The German army got bogged down, because of the severe Winter weather. If the Germans had gone into Russia just one week earlier, the communist would have been destroyed and there would not have been any wars after that. When the commies hauled *** out of Moscow, Stalin saw this and it pisseed him off. This is why he purged so many. The Germans fought a foe outnumbered 4 to 1. They tried to save the world from communism. Over a million Russians joined the Germans in their fight against communism. The Germans had seen what communism had done to Russia and they didn't want it, either. Western Europe owes the Germans a debt of gratitude for fighting WWII. The Germans learned that the Russians were amassing troops near their border and they knew this meant war. So they decided to attack first. The communist tried to take Spain but the Spaniards fought them violently and drove them out.

Lets say an american bomb ( well meaning good bomb) kills 20 people in a Muslim city.

All of those people had mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends..that are not gonna be happy. The bomb mighta got a so-called terrorist or two ...BUT how many did you create??? These people are just going to LOVE americans as they bury their dead.

Bush"s WAR has created more terrorists than Al Queda, in fact this war is exactly what Bin Laden wanted

"Because they cannot defeat Americans on the battlefield, al-Qaida and terrorist sympathizers around the world are trying to divide us here at home," said Boehner, R-Ohio. "Over the next few days, we have an opportunity to show our enemies that we will not take the bait."

Isn't the above baseless and coward suggestion? If you battle with the lastest technology and put on the self lable of the "Super Power", why cant others fight with you in different ways and continue to damage your Self Lable? Opinions suggests that US must leave Iraq.

Since we are leaving the Iraqis dealing with their problems now, why are we still there? Is the insurgency so strong that the actual Iraqi government could collapse?... or is about holding the ground for future military actions in the region?...or maybe we are just trying to avoid a civil war, which in my opinion it already started..?

The show of Iraq or Afghanistan does not prove its super power title. In the past, USA had avoided direct confrontation with USSR. Dropping the Atom Bomb on Japan few decades ago had made them powerful in the world...but the current scene is different. I think USA should fight with China to know what the tough war really means? It will be a fantastic lesson for all big mouths (mostly Americans giving warnings to the world)

I was looking at Wikipedia the other day, I came across the Royal Navy page. I saw our 'Invincible' class aircraft carriers and compared them to Americas ships. The result; we have two (one in a dry dock) and they carry ten times less than the 10+ ships they have!! I was shocked but not surprised. Our soliders are also called 'The Borrowers' by the American forces in Iraq because of the amount of equipment they have to borrow. Is the British Army just for show because it doesn't look like a serious force!!!???
