"Because they cannot defeat Americans on the battlefield, al-Qaida and terrorist sympathizers around the world are trying to divide us here at home," said Boehner, R-Ohio. "Over the next few days, we have an opportunity to show our enemies that we will not take the bait."

Isn't the above baseless and coward suggestion? If you battle with the lastest technology and put on the self lable of the "Super Power", why cant others fight with you in different ways and continue to damage your Self Lable? Opinions suggests that US must leave Iraq.

The right-wingers don't care about what the people think, what they need is scapegoats and enemies to make their policies make any sense - even if the enemies do not exist

One of the most cowardly insults in america today is this phrase 'terrorist sympathizer' it shows that the republicans do not want to embrace sense, they want to blame their own for thinking differently. There is no excuse to label your own countrymen who don't agree with you as consorting with the enemy - that is all medieval-style politics. Al-Qaida will never have to divide Americans, they will do it themselves, but to call other people terrorists is just blind and ignorant

What was the last terrorist attack in the US, 9/11. No it wasn't, it was the mall shootings, it was the anthrax bombs, the mail box bombings, the freeway killings, all done by americans themselves. Bush has done more to spread terror in the world than al-qaid could ever dream of, encouraging Asia to form powerful alliances with Latin America. But it is 'enemy' mentality which is the key.

The Americans were reluctant to get involved in WW1 and WW2, and it took a while for them to even stop selling fuel to the Nazis. But when it comes to tiny, defenceless middle eastern states they are all for them. Conservatives and soldiers are hte heros, but peaceniks are terrorist sympathizers. Why?

Because it's the weak in the american mind who have now become the enemy, it is the not-so-well-off, it is the poor. It is the people who have been brought up with nothing and do not live in splendor, it is the people who have lived off the land and do not rely on big guns and tanks and big planes with big bombs. Instead of accepting faults and mistakes they would rather punish them. It is a beautiful act of self-destruction and self-mutilation and self-denial.

I don't think modern day Americans will ever wake up to the reality of the situation, they have been forcefed a load of lies by the media, they are shown the most amazing garbage on TV every day, the way they write is proof that they can no longer think for themselves, they rely on someone else to do that for them. And if that means blaming peace protesters as 'terrorists' then they won't question, they will just follow.

Self-lable? Uhm, sweetie, the US isn't the only super-power on Earth. A super-power is a nation that has developed fully, and has explored the full arena of technology. Iran is not a super-power. Ireland isn't a super-power,but, may be able to acheive that status. Japan, even, is not a super-power. But, that is because they know first hand the horrors of nuclear warfare.

Al-Qaida is a bunch of blasphemers justifying the killing of innocent women and children by twisting religious doctrine, and pretending at piety. They are no better than the Crusaders of the Dark Ages. Barbarians, one and all. There is no excuse for terrorism. If you want to fight, go frickin' fight, but don't be a coward, and hide behind people who have nothing to do with your fight. They are a bunch of insecure little men hung up on adolescent pipedreams of domination. The Quran prohibits the killing of women and children, from what I understand. For this reason, I will never respect a terrorist as a decent human being. Those ends do NOT justify their means.

What I think is the R Ohio has everything to do with it. Terrorist could care less what our congress or our president does. Iraq has very little to do with terrorism as it was not a terrorist state until after mission acomplished. I think there will be terrorist attacks on us regardless of what they do. The only to stop them is to catch them before the fact, with good intelligence.

We want to leave Iraq. If the terrorists and insurgents stop trying to kill people, then America will leave. We do not want to stay there. Stop killing us and eachother and the US will leave.

They can fight with what ever means they have. It is up to the American people to stand tall in the face of danger and hatred and push on to victory.
