when it was first announced for the Senate the Terrorists ran around us screaming "you go home, Your Congress does not support you!" we cannot shot them unless we are shot at first. So Sometimes they leave the weapons behind taunt us and then run back for the weapons. The senate thank god had some with better sense, the house I think will be a grave disappointment. Thanks Congress we cannot wait for them to do that high pitched lalalalal screaming thing...................makes me sick.

It makes me wonder why we have the current people running the show. I understand that people disagree with the war, duh. However, having congress pass a "non-binding resolution" makes no sense whatsoever. ITS NON-BINDING! That means the president can simply say, "meh... yeah? so?", and continue the troop buildup. How about the congress actually pass something that will be binding, at least force President Bush to show his hand a little.

In any case, I think that the entire idea behid the resolution is ludicrous, binding or non-binding. What this does is simply tell the troops that are currently in harms way that we want them to continue to do the job, but without any backup (even though we actually are sending the backup, sort of like a bad game of 'psych'). I can only guess that the morale over there is pretty low at best. I cannot see how this resolution will improve on that.

As for America, its hard for me to say. We have long since departed from actually being a representative government. Yes I understand that *we* elect the people that are serving there, but it seems that that is our only purpose in the political chain once those we vote for get into office. I personally disagree with the course that the war has taken, but I have no clue how to proceed either. Probably why I am not a general. In any case, this is another example of America proving how incompetent we can be. I mean these politicians actually believe that this whole resolution thing makes a difference. And THAT is one of the biggest problems with our political system, but thats another post/answer. Heh.

It means quite no longer some thing. it isn't some other thing beneficial than a political ploy through the hot majority to call out both aspect of the aisle and to lead them to state for the record the position they stand on the conflict in Iraq. at the same time as this may be an effective political flow, it does no longer some thing for the troops in Iraq. If some thing, it easily sends a blended message to them. It tells them that Congress does help them, yet does no longer help what they are doing. It also tells the troops that Congress, at the same time as no longer helping the troops' mission, isn't keen to easily do some thing concrete to larger advantageous the problem. The very last 4 days would were spend debating what the hot majority fairly needs to do; decrease funding of the conflict with the purpose to end it. quite, they wasted 3 days on a nonbinding, worthless, and insignificant decision.

It mean more troops will be killed. The morale will go down because if our leaders can't back us why should we worry about anything. The ememy will rejoice for they know that the democrats are weak and will give in to anything.

What else can we expect from a bunch of left wingers? It is non-binding - do you know what that means? It means that is isn't worth the paper it's written on. I believe what you call it is political grandstanding . Blow a lot of horns--make a lot of noise and head for the cocktail lounge at 5:30. Same-ole-same-ole. Support us --support our mission!!

non-binding = non-productive. It's all a waste of time. I've never met another Soldier who put a lot of stock in what our politicians say or do.

It shows that some of our worst enemies are in our own government.
This will be remembered in 2008.
