I have a question that's bothering me. My brother's in the national guard, and I "overheard" him on the phone talking about next month he'll be training to go to Iraq. But I don't get how that's possible because he's not active! He also never signed up for it, is that just something that everyone's doing right now because of what's going on? Or can people be forced to go even if there not active? I would ask him but then he'd know I was eavesdropping. And I thought they weren't even suppost to send out any more of our national guard (tx) before a certain year, like 2010 or something.

The current shia friends of US are friends of US just because they can easily settle scores with their enemies, see how the official witnessing Saddam execution shouted Muqtata Al Sadr's name, who is known for his anti US stand. I am currently training for the Navy SEALs training program called BUD/S. I have two years to prepare. I have been doing pushups/situps/pullups/dips along with daily 6 mile runs and 75 minute swims with fins on. If you have any ideals that could help me prepare i would be glad to hear them.

Bear in mind that the family of Iraqi's are just a normal family trying to make their way in this world like the rest of us.

Also for those that say they would save the american soldiers life, how do you reconcile the fact that America claims it is over there to liberate the Iraqis, when youve just said that you would quite happily let 4 of them die to save just one of your own? Isnt that being a little hypocritical?

It seems to be an improvement already for Bush to admit the mistake...

But how exactly is he going to be responsible for the thousands of death?

A CEO goes to jail if the company cheats on the annual report, even though the CEO could say "It's a mistake, my CFO gave me wrong information".

But our president will just say "Sorry guys!" and go home, leaving the mess for someone else to clean up?
