I am currently training for the Navy SEALs training program called BUD/S. I have two years to prepare. I have been doing pushups/situps/pullups/dips along with daily 6 mile runs and 75 minute swims with fins on. If you have any ideals that could help me prepare i would be glad to hear them.

i know there is a lot of water activities...so i suggest you find out how to not be afraid of the water or being trapped under there. Im a girl, but i have always had a strong facination with the navy seals program and i admire anyone that even attempts to pass the test. I know there is actually a few books on it you can buy to help u train:

ive also seen some videos of it on youtube.com, but i cant give you the link because the site is down for now :(.

anyhow, if you want to talk anymore about anything :) email me.

Are you currently in the Navy? Were you not given any type of manual? I don't quite understand. Are you just training on your own hoping that you'll get into BUD's. No matter what physical shape you're in special forces training will break you. It's designed that way. I've been a force recon marine for years and have worked side by side with SeALs and AF parajumpers.

The swimming and running will help but you will be drowned twice (we go through similar training in the Corps) you will be pushed to the edge of human physical limitations and then beyond.

I believe that BUD/S has an academic portion - I would recommend tackling that.

WHy don't you just go through the Navy SEALs training physical training program, I am sure they are quite similar.

BTW - Best of luck and thanks.

Have someone wake you at 2:30 in the morning with a fire hose and the sound of machine gun fire. Then, find the coldest body of water that you can, play in it for 2 hrs. in your under ware. After that stop for a little chow. Now after that, you should be awake enough to start the day...

First you have to be BIG-TALL-STRONG!! And, very SMART! It will help if you are a black belt... SIZE counts!!! (Cousin of a Navy Seal)
