Congratulations to anyone who lives their lives on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I know from experience it is not easy, No no pats on the back for me for serving in the service, That was my choice and my choice to leave. Just making people think about their lives and how others have it worse. I picked the military just because I had experience. I know their are alot of other professionals out there who do the same. Thanks to all of you!!!

Police personnel are also on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Fire and rescue department are also the same as well as all the paramedics. Before they sign for their employment documents, they were all being told about this and they embraced the fact that they have to work to that extent. It is not an issue at all because their payment rolls have been designed to accomodate all these difficulties, so we might say. But, never argue, when war comes, when all the armies being pushed to the garrissons, to the front line, whose going to take responsibility of internal security ? It is non other than the common people who live inside it. They the one that have to protect themselves. When the internal fire intensify, when the armies are firing blank, the commoners resorted to become militia. So, who is not on 24 hours????

I would and I have but what's the question implying? Are you looking for a pat on the back or an atta boy? Millions of soldiers have made the sacrifice and do it without begging for approval.

No, I wouldn't, because if I was dispatched to Iraq my sacrifice would be in vain. My family will lose their daughter and I'd become another statistic in a war that's slowly killing off our good soldiers for no reason at all. It was Bush's mistake, and yet brave people have to die for it...

So... losing three thousand people out of the over million odd people who have rotated through Iraq...

by your math that's a death sentence? Some of you people are pretty ignorant.

Asker... thanks for your service.
