I doubt that, Bush has only 2 years left and the republican party isn't looking so great. They wouldn't enforce a draft and lose all there chances of winning the next election.

Do some research, the only ones that brings up the draft have been the far left Democrats. This is just a rehash question. But now you should worry the folks you rushed to vote in are the ones that have been stating they want it. .
From the last round Bill 402-2
The House voted 402-2 to defeat the draft bill offered last year by Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y.

I don't believe it will be within the year, we can recall people who have gotten out of the military for several years without a choice, I think that will begin to happen in large numbers before any draft begins.
I do think we will see more recruiting efforts, perhaps they will get it into their heads unless you pay the military better, including better benefits for veterans, widows and families you just aren't going to have the quality of people signing up. It takes more than patriotism to pay the bills and provide for your loved ones. This should be a priority before any draft is even considered, that said if things continue the way they are it could be a few years before they don't have a choice and may have to bring back the draft. I don't see anyone trying it prior to the 2008 election.
As a disabled veteran from the gulf war, the lung damage I sustained is considered permanent and total. I'm not elligible for a lung transplant because it's nueromuscular. It has been determined by the mayo clinic and the VA it's related to my military service, I'm 35 years of age with 4 kids. The benefits of service members and veterans even for service caused illness is laughable.
Seems to me if you expect people to put their lives on the line for your country then we should take better care of them. Supporting the troops involves more than a bumper sticker.

Then FA Then our administration communities tasked with convalescing our prominent NFL communities adjourns to their respective warfare room for draft 2012 at the same time as not as exciting as football per week, that's an exhilarating time contained in the NFL

I almost agree with you, I DO believe we will have a form of draft, maybe not like the 60's draft, but close, and I think it will happen before BushWhack leaves office, probably in the next year, but maybe a little more?

Why not? I was under the draft in 1971 and joined the Air Force... best thing I ever done.. wound up with 14 years in the military and made a better young man out of me.

I hope the draft happens soon. Maybe then we'll all get up off our collective asses and take to the streets and protest like good Americans rather than continue being the complicit mindless drones we are now.

I don't think we will need a draft. There are enough brave Americans who love this country and freedom to fight for it. You see, we are not all liberal Democrats taught by the pony tailed professors, right?
