Big talk from Bush and Cheney. The 'surge' of 21,000 plus troops will proceed as planned. But we also hear rumblings about Iran. Both sides preparing for each other it appears.
Iran "meddling" the US accused. Iranian 'diplomats' detained in Iraq. Bush pushing as far as he can without any real resistance.
Iran must be stopped also.
And so we wait..and watch..
we are patient.
Soon there will be a call for another 'surge'.....another 21,00 or more.

We are moving there in April and are on the waiting list, but were told it was virtually impossible to move directly on post. We have been contacted about availible houses, but each time we have to decline since our PCS date is in April. Now we hear that since we live in housing in TX we have to clear before we can accept one in GA. Just looking for any info. or advice. Thanks....

Will you write to your Senators to let them know how you feel? I have written mine. It will not take more than a minute or two (depending on how long your message is). We need to stop the deaths of our brave soldiers.

I am the commander of the Unarmed Drill Team at my school and I've put alot of work into is this past summer and 1st half of school. Although I've put my all into it there is one person holding us back. The Drill Team sponsor (who is also my JROTC insturctor) is very lazy in doing anything for us. He doesn't: watch us practice, give helpful tips, talk to us the whole practice time, or commend us for anything. He actually has a problem with us practicing 3x a week because last year we only practiced 1x a week. I was trying to get up to go to the Nationals in Florida this year, but thats all gone. I don't even think we'll make it to regioinals! He is just a big morale killer! All he does during our practice is sit behind his computer in his classroom and watch Judge Judy. Its really annyoing since I already expressed to him that I would like him to participate, but I guess he feels he doesn't want a student to tell him what 2 do.What do you think? what should I do? This is Army JROTC btw

I suspect this wont go over to well. And apparently they have "officially" video taped it...YUCK!

All this happening when US is adjusting policy and troops in Iraq.

Would have been better to postpone these executions until after US had done this "temporary" adjustment (surge)?

My cousin is in the U.S. army and he said in one of their training manuals there was a picture of a sun symbol (at least it reminded him of a sun) and the manual explained that soldiers (in the States) should look out for it because the people who use that symbol are dangerous.

I do not know if the millitary is for me or not. My brother was a Lt.Com in the navy. My uncle Was a Green berret (warrant Officer). My Mother is an Engineer for BAE, MY Godmother's son is a Battalion commander, My grandfather is a recipient of three silver stars. I graduated highschool with a 3.8 gpa, three national honor societies and attained the rank of Eagle scout( first one in the family history). Heres my problem, I have ADHD anbd its impacted me hard with trying college out.My weakest field of knowledge is math and my strongest is in technology ,science and history. I have a certification in digital imaging from high school( tech school during high school) I do not want everything I have done go to waste, Iam horrible at school though. sometimes I fell I am very dumb. Mt dad wants me to look into an ROTC or academy program. Is there room for someone like me there? I have no money and life sucks right now. It is abosolutley impossible for me to do well on the SAT, I have tried.

how stupid can bush supporters be?

hussein is dead and gone, iraq has a new gov and constitution,.....let the iraqis fight their own war. theyve had four years of training and STILL the US is holding their hand.....if you bush supporters allow it, they'll keep US troops in iraq for the next twenty years.
