Once Bush sends US soldiers to be embedded in Iraq Army units, what's from stopping the Iraqis from holding all the American soldiers as hostages?

Jeez, what a question... Not because it's dumb, because it's not. Just another aspect of this lousy war I have not considered. And yeah, what's stopping them.

theres less iraqi soldiers than there are american soldiers. plus those who are in the iraqi military are there because they don't like the way things are going on in iraq and are trying to do something about it. if more americans and europeans could see this viewpoint this war would be over a lot sooner than it will be with the constant bashing and trying to force us out of iraq.

But don't you think the American military just might be smart enough to know that, and make plans for if and when it does happen??????

Don't forget that we are training the iraq Army...we aren't teaching them EVERYTHING. We're still smarter in some essence.

if they tried it they would be destroyed with impunity. they have no armor, they roll around in pickup trucks. the Heavy forces we have here would cut through them faster then hell
plus the IA are cowardice b@stards who can barley shoot, they definatley suck at communication and they have porblems with movement.
plus troops are already imbedded with IA forces so if they havent done it yet they wont do it
