If Warld War III starts what country (or allience of countries) do you think would be victorious?

I know that, irrelevant of who fought it and who won, it would be overwhelmingly the innocent who would lose.

Unfortunately, WWIII will be global suicide, therefore in answer to your question, there will be no winner. In a nuclear world, the only true enemy is war itself.

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask what country would be victorious, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

While we hear talk of a nuclear-Iran or a confrontation with NorKor, little is said about the 2 bulls in the glass shop. The nukes in the stockpiles of the US and Russia are enough to destroy a million Hiroshimas... but there's less than that in the world. Our biggest threat is from an accidental launch by the Russians.

Russia other former soviet Republics, China, North Korea, Iran, and Venezula and Cuba

No One will be Victorious.

Nuclear Winter will destroy most life on planet Earth.

If it was a contained conventional war, then it would end in a stalemate with new borders written in the maps of the world. The USA would survive and so would Russia and China. These would be the theatre of operations: middle east from the mediteranean to the himalayas, Pacific from the korean peninsula/Taiwan to Hawaii/Alaska, Western Europe to The Urals.

Hopefully, no one nation would be stupid enough to kill almost everyone on the earth. The misery that would ensue, it would be better off dead unless you were fortunate enough to buy one of those cold war relic command and control centers or a titan missile silos and had enough storage of supplies for a good 5-10 years and plenty of video games to boot! Everyone keeps saying the US would win... Well, let me ask this question. We can't even win a war in a third world country. We don't have ANY allies left, at least not any worth anything militarily.
Also, what would be the cause of WW3? Perhaps invading a
Sovereign nation in defiance of the UN? I strongly believe that if WW3 breaks out, its possible America could be on the wrong side. The road to the holocaust was paved with apathy, and the average american cant tell you the name of our new secretary of defense...

I say that all countries participating would loose. Therefore Switzerland, and Thailand would be among the victors. I believe that a third world war would speed up the downfall of the United States and the rise of the East.

None, the humans and all living forms in the earth will disappear, if that happens, that would be a resemblance of the apocalypses, and may be in some more millions of years ahead the humans or another kind of living species would reborn bringing the peace which the world is progressively loosing.

China and Russia combined will take over the world. Actually, Iran and North Korea may also join that alliance. That is a powerful group that even the U.S. will find hard to defeat.

The defense - any international invasion offense would be in vain & could not succeed - the outcome is similar to the way things were before they started - only with many innocent civilians dead & all sorts of vital roads, bridges, pipes, wiring, buildings, etc. destroyed - let's just hope they & we don't use nukes.

China. We lose a few dozen it's on the front page of every paper coast to coast. China looses a few thousand, they still have another billion where they came from. If the Eastern Campaign in WWII, Korea and Vietnam taught us only one thing, don't fight Asians.
