while going over my bank statement i found a payment by my husband who is stationed in iraq to aafes apo ae ny and one to drear too does anyone know what these are can't ask him problems

i know this is aafes or exchange but normally when he orders is says apo ae masoul

AAFES Army and Air Force Exchange Services. The BX in Iraq, maybe he bought something or made a military star payment. I'm not sure what drear is

AAFES is The Army and Air Force Exchange Service. They sell stuff to military personnel. That may help. But "drear" is a puzzle.

I did that about 8 years ago, it worked fine for me but I can't guarantee anything. From what I understand, APO, AE used to be APO, NY. ..."APO AE is the Army Post Office in Europe, etc. Prior to the late 90's it was APO NY, since all the mail bound for European bases flew out of New York..."

DREAR stands for FOB Diamonback in mosul. It was named division rear when we (the 101st) created the base back in the beginning of the war. It just means he bought something from the PX there

I think it means he ordered something from aafes.com. Most likely uniform items he couldn't find in country.

its basically a military walmart. thats where my husband bought what he needed like food, pens, army supplies, shoes, boots ect.
