I suspect this wont go over to well. And apparently they have "officially" video taped it...YUCK!

All this happening when US is adjusting policy and troops in Iraq.

Would have been better to postpone these executions until after US had done this "temporary" adjustment (surge)?

The decapitation happens when too much weight is used... the alternative, too little weight results in the neck not breaking and the person strangling.

Once again the executions were performed without consulting the US first. But the Sunni's are claiming it is a demonstration that the Shia government is not including them. It could mean a lot, or it could mean anything, Saddam's execution did not create a huge uproar. The execution of two of his henchmen may produce less, they were feared not just by Shia's and Kurds, but by everyone.

Capital punishment, especially the brutal and vindictive kind taking place in Iraq, does not speak well for a world which considers itself "Civil." But you can't expect much from an Iraq whose people have known nothing, since its formation after World I, but suppressive governments and violence. And of course, the United States which is the only country in the Western World to have Capital punishment, although abolished by the great State of Massachusetts as well as others, is not one to set an example for civil behavior.

I do not believe the United States has adjusted its policy by this so-called "surge" concerning Iraq but following the same misguided course which has failed miserably thus far with the future offering more of the same except with greater American casualties and monetary cost.

These executions should never take place, regardless of the timing, even though those who were executed, Saddam, his half-brother, and that other nut were about as evil as one could ever imagine.

President Bush, if not stopped by the Congress and the American people is determined to continue this "War" well into the next Administration so as to blame its failure on a future President. Remember, until recently and after both the Senate and House fell into Democratic hands, President Bush had never admitted to a "mistake" although his Administration has been riddled with them for the past 6 years and most likely for 2 more.

GOD acted to rip a mans head off?
The trials and hanging are taking place upon an American Military base, tried by US mentored judge and lawyers .
Paid for by US money?
Verdict delayed by Bush "n" Corp just before last election cycle so as not to hurt republican politicos chances!
People cheering a mans head being ripped off no different than the savages doing the hanging at U. S. behest.
How many of these warriors know of the actual crime scenario, and why we kill them before they can be questioned about crimes, there are still more charges to be brought even against Saddam, they commited after US became an active supporter of Saddam with the WMD programs.
None of these men died for gassing anyone!
But don't worry about the charges as the lackys in Iraq and the US media will of course find them guilty, all by themselves.
How convenient!
Question supposes that hanging should be part of tactic, psy ops, and we can better defeat the insurgents if they are not quite so PO"D at us.
The media propaganda of US troops getting killed by sectarian fighters during a civil war when the facts do not show such, we lose troops during an offensive operation against suspected insurgents and by road side bombs trying to kill our troops and our gocernments lackys in Iraq not by intervening in their family conflicts.
If over 600,000 dead Iraquis is not yet enough, do not worry, I am sure we will kill a bunch more in a few days as our military gets released from the restrictons that held us back from killing more, even if the iraquis insurgents and collaterla damaged ones do get PO"D!

There are in certainty 2 the thank you to entice close somebody. Up till the mid nineteenth century the condemned guy suffocated to loss of life regularly after something he exchange into status on which incorporate a horse drawn cart moved away leaving him dangling in mid air. This exchange into an enormously painful thank you to die and it may take as long as 25 minutes for the guy to lose awareness. even with the undeniable fact that, the known approach by way of fact the mid nineteenth century is the so referred to as 'long drop' approach. This by way of fact the call implies is achieved by utilising making the condemned guy stand over a catch door with a noose around his head and whilst this catch door is opened he falls with the aid of it and optimistically breaks his neck. loss of life is subsequently instantanous. it is what happed to Saddam Hussein. even with the undeniable fact that, the executioner desires to be experienced with a view to accomplish the form of awesome precise. by way of fact the dimensions of the rope and for this reason the area the condemned guy falls will could be judged wisely relating to the guy's weight. The heavier the guy the shorter the rope could be. The shortest drop is 4 ft for the heaviest of adult men and the longest drop could be approximately 10 ft for the lightest. If the rope is merely too long regarding the guy's weight then he would be decapitated and in spite of if it is merely too short then inadequate stress would be generated on the neck with a view to interrupt it and the guy would be left alive to suffocate slowly. In mirrored photograph if i exchange into situation to a botched awesome i might decide to be decapitated as this loss of life may be plenty swifter and humane than being left to suffocate slowly.

The executions are planned and carried out by the Iraq government, we do not have a say in that.
I doubt his decapitation will have much effect. The general arab population does seem to have a problem watching "Freedom fighteers" slice off the heads of "infidels" on al jazeera.

Hooray! Thats what the majority of people in Iraq are saying in the video clips on TV and reporting that I`ve seen. They thought it was great and fitting.
They see an act of God taking place.
The minority Sunni aren`t saying much. They know these guys were really bad.

Well, sometimes you get hung, and sometimes you lose your head. I guess that is the price for being part of a terrorist dictatorship.
