In Afghanistan our troops' occupation is welcomed. Yet the Taliban is growing in strength there. We have already done so much to stop terrorism there. Will it be fruitful or will the Taliban return to take control?

In Iraq, we messed up by invading --IMHO-- what should we be doing to retain order there? because order is what is missing, it's what's causing the terrorism.

Why dont you just pack up, and GTFO?

I'm just tired of all you yahoo's that talk **** about this country when the freedom you have to put it down, the US is probably partly to thank for.

Salute to all of you's out there in harms way...stay safe. Thank you for your service- because of you I feel safer that a terrorist aint gonna blow up my family.

With nearly 4 Soldiers being killed each day....
There are so many statistics on this site: We are losing 4 of our troops each day. That's approximately 120 a month.
And the number wounded - an average of 450 each month.

And now Bush is going to wait until January to unveil any "new plan", whatever the hell that means. My daughter has a couple of friends who have been deployed there already, and one that is scheduled to go in January. I hate that my kids have grown up through their teen years with so much war. It has definitely affected them and how they look at the world and their future. And I don't know how to make it stop.

ok, I'm only 14 but I'm sure I want to go into the coast guard when I'm 17. I was woundering what I could do now that would help prepare me to get into the CG. Do they teach you all you need to know in training? If I make my recruiter (in a few years) put where I want to be stationed in the contract, will I be promised that that station?

Any helpful information will be appreciated! Thanks
