My real question is where do I apply to be a Camera man attached to that unit. Like news stations and such that sends people there. Thank you for your answers they are very welcomed if it wasnt for this feature on yahoo I would clueless on this subject. Thank you.

You probably need some background in photojournalism. If you can't get the training in the military, you will need to get it at school. (as an Army vet, the Air Force or Navy would probably love to get you and give you the training you want and at least as good a rating as what you have now. E4?) The best journalism school in the country is at Columbia University in New York. You should also check for courses at your state's university and make sure that you have all the prerequisite courses. Don't be afraid if you did not have the grades to get into one of these programs from high school, you now have plenty of real world experience that will distinguish your application from a 17 year old with a 4.0 average.

one of the vital reporters masking wars within the 1970's had been serving squaddies Ever heard of Stars and Stripes??? however presently? I have no idea frame armour is without doubt a demand for any individual now not suicidal Personal guns are a nasty suggestion on a battlefield, in particular for a non-authentic soldier. civilian reporters get babysitters .. you would not desire them capturing at any one who's a pal. With such a lot of one of a kind uniforms.. pleasant-fireplace incidents are dangerous ample while serving squaddies do it. Journalists might now not be capable to attain the believe they do, in the event that they had been going for walks round firing weapons. high-quality left to the "experts" .. that is the idea.. fact is traditionally one of a kind. Would reporters ever admit on digital camera they'd a gun, even a pistol.. No , of direction now not.

Your probably going to have to re-enlist and change your MOS to Combat Photographer or Journalist. If your not willing to re-enlist, then your going to have to use you GI Bill and get a degree in Mass Communications/broadcasting/photo journalism. A news agency is not going to hire you without some training and experience in that field.
