When I first joined the Army I was told that I had to be at least 4'11'' otherwise I would need a height waiver to join. But luckily I'm 5 feet even so I didn't need the height waiver. But I can see why they have a height restriction because their are a lot of things I do for the army and have a hard time doing it because if my height. You're taller then me so just go for it!!

I found the height requirement for women to enter Navy ROTC:

Height--Women:
Navy 60-78 inches
Marines 58-78 inches
Weight--Proportionate to height. 1

Beyond that I couldn't find anything. Phone a recruiter I'm sure they will be happy to answer your question. For enlisted men it used to be 60 inches. The USAF height/weight chart goes down to 58 inches.

No, it isn't. Im 5'3" and I'm enrolling for the USAFA next summer, but there are some things I dont think you can do like being a pilot, but Im not sure. Look at the physical requirements for your specific branch of military.

I'm 5'2" and I was 105lbs out of boot camp (entered as 110lbs)
There are no restrictions as to height for entering the military in general, only certain jobs such as fighter pilot
