Why do you think this? What theoretical and procedural factors helped you reach your conclusion? If you were on board, who would you have followed? Its a tough call.

I mean before your reeinlisment period is over. I'm just wondering because my father and ex husband were in the army for over 23 yrs each and my niece is going in and she said they never said anything about that to her. My father served in gulf war and still did his Korea stint. so did my ex-husband. just wondering. They both retired in the late 80's.

You can find out the most interesting things when you play with statistics.

If you consider that there have been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theater of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2112 deaths, that gives a death rate of 60 per 100,000.

The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation's Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq. That's odd considering there are supposed to bemany more guns per capata in Iraq. Maybe that is wrong. Maybe there are really more guns per capita in DC/

Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington? Or should we develop a new stratagy for quelling the violence there?

When strangers (or anyone for that matter) thanks you for your service, do you:

A) Get annoyed because you just want to be left alone?
B) Get annoyed or feel uncomfortable because you don't do what you do for appreciation?
C) Get annoyed because it's a cliche statement that doesn't have any real meaning (you suspect)?
D) Appreciate it but don't need it?
E) Appreciate it and wish it happened more often?

You can pick more than one.

Also, if you are a military spouse, and someone thanks YOU, how do YOU feel about it? Do you think it's weird, or warranted and appreciated?

In WWII, which country backed the Nazis out of Paris?
I know it was either the Canadians, the French, the Poles or the Americans. I'm pretty sure it might be the Poles and the Canadians, but I'm not 100% sure.
