how do i find a list of names of canadian soldiers from ww2 who survived so i can find my grandpas name?

i am looking to find a list that shows names so i can see what his rank/position he was and to see what medal he was awarded.

im pretty sure he was an ambulance driver and the medal (if memory serves correctly) has a king on one side and a cougar or other type of large cat. If anyone knows what it is and what its for, let me know
