It's for a story, just in case

But consider:
-the wall to be of simple, cinder block & cement construction

-the gun is firing from about 2 ft away from the wall

What are the chances of a round drilling through?

I ship out to MCRD in 3 weeks and I still can not fully pass the IST. I can run like a deer and do slightly more sit ups than necesary but Im still having trouble with my pullups, I cant do a single one. Is there any way to increase the number of pullups I can do from 0 to 3 before Dec 19? And whats being sent to PCP like just in case? An average day in PCP? How long does the average recuit have to stay in PCP before their capable of passing the IST?

I here everyone now talking about reinstating the draft, and I was wondering, what happens if I want to move to another country when I turn 18? I'm not trying to draftdoge, I just never planned on living in the US all my life. I've always wanted to live in another country, but someone told me that I couldn't or something? Is this true, and how can the US government hold people back from leaving the US? And most people don't want to be drafted, isn't it unfair that there was ever a draft to begin with? I don't think it's very fair to just take people off to fight a war that's totally pointless.

I've seen it in movies, like Forrest Gump or Private Benjamin, but I have never heard of it from an actual veteran. Do they not do this any more?

Before the invasion of Afghanistan and then again for Iraq I wrote a letter to the President, my two Senators and my Congressional Representative... If we as a nation deem it necessary to invade a country, then lets support our troops by doing the following:
1) Increase taxes to pay for the war and reconstruction
2) Start the draft with only health and age exceptions
3) Start rationing to keep all resources available for accomplishing mission

If a war is necessary, then our economy and we as a people should be mobilized for it.
WHY DIDN'T WE DO THIS?

My husband will be gone for 6mo. with bct & ait, we live in a boring town far from home & have only been here a year. I have 3 kids under 4 one's a newborn. Should I go home to my folks? Will he be sent to our new base (in Germany, Hawaii, NY whereever we get stationed) ahead of me or can we all go together? Im worried the army will take him & leave me homeless.

The graduation dates posted say Jan 19th ( they started actual BCT on Nov 3rd) my question is..will that date be likely to change because of exodus? I've already purchased my airline ticket and booked the hotel because everything was booking up fast and there were only 4 seats left on the last flight and all the hotels in Lawton were sold out...HEartstrinGs maybe your hubby is one of my sons DI's :)

If you really do believe that, then maybe you need to study military history some more. Granted war isn't pretty, never has been and never will be, but to state no good comes out of war is crazy.

Wasn't it good that we broke away from English rule due to the Revolutionary War?

Wasn't it good the civil war ended slavery in the United States?

Keep looking back you will see that people have always been fighting for their freedom. (Braveheart)

So before you say no good comes of war start looking into the history of war and what came about after the war was over. No war isn't pretty, but at times it's necessary. Only the future will be able to show if good truly happened in Iraq and Afghanistan after the dust of war completly settles.
