It's for a story, just in case
But consider:
-the wall to be of simple, cinder block & cement construction
-the gun is firing from about 2 ft away from the wall
What are the chances of a round drilling through?

Depends, a 9mm, .45, .223, or 7.62x39, or a .50bmg.
The only one gauranteed to go through would be the .50bmg.
But with a few shots (even as little as 3) the .223 or 7.62x39 could easily go through.
In lay man's terms, a handgun, no. A rifle, maybe.

Cinder block is hardly a concrete wall. From two feet away, a person should have his head examined. Ricochet is very likely, and so is concrete splintering, and blowing back on the shooter.
A high caliber weapon, especially armour piercing rounds could possibly penetrate that wall.

You have left out perhaps the most important piece of information here - what kind of gun, and what kind of bullet?
A .22 won't do squat, but a 357 will likely blow it to bits. I recently saw an episode of "Myth Busters" where they experimented with different guns and ammo, and the results varied wildly. No one can accurately answer your question until you specify those two essential pieces of the equation.
btw - a frozen chicken WILL go through an airplane's windshield MUCH better than a defrosted one (just in case).

That would absolutely depend on the caliber of the round, and muzzle length of the weapon (for velocity). A pistol wouldn't make it, but a higher powered rifle would stand a fair chance. Whether you could shoot accurately, and how much power the round has after exiting leaves something to be desired.

Depends on caliber of bullet...distance...thickness of concrete.
There is a saying successful writers write about the things they know.
If you are relying on some undocumented info, then your story
will always have holes. Hey but now a days they call them documentaries.
Research...get facts...not b.s. from strangers.

it depends on the bullet because there some bullets that can basically go through anything like the California bank rob a while back they couldn't get them because there bullets just went through anything

I have a .50 caliber Desert Eagle and I say it would go straight through it.

Will you please film yourself firing at concrete from 2 feet away. I would love to see what happens to you.
Are you writing a story about John Kerry and his band aide Purple Heart?
