If you really do believe that, then maybe you need to study military history some more. Granted war isn't pretty, never has been and never will be, but to state no good comes out of war is crazy.

Wasn't it good that we broke away from English rule due to the Revolutionary War?

Wasn't it good the civil war ended slavery in the United States?

Keep looking back you will see that people have always been fighting for their freedom. (Braveheart)

So before you say no good comes of war start looking into the history of war and what came about after the war was over. No war isn't pretty, but at times it's necessary. Only the future will be able to show if good truly happened in Iraq and Afghanistan after the dust of war completly settles.

Friend - Liberal here, and pacifist. Though much of war is ugly and sad, yes, good does come of wars. There are the thousand little good things that happen every day...friendships made, some one lost is found, a child smiles...and the greater good, such as the end of the reign of Hitler...and yes, even of Saddam. I am also a pragmatic liberal pacifist who realizes there will be wars as long as man lives on earth to wage them, just as there always has been. Whether the good outweighs the bad, I cannot say. Ask me when my son is safely home from Iraq for the last time...and do not be so quick to predict what a liberal will say. Grace and Peace

Why are people's opinions so warped... most adults know that war is necessary - it's mostly young kids that don't think so- not college students or adults.. Liberals and Democrats know that war is necessary (since they seem to get bashed so much)- sometimes though wars go down the wrong path.. I don't think anyone was against the War in Afghanistan.. and if there was it was very few... the majority was also for the war in Iraq in the beginning.. but since it has just gone down the wrong path... it is not the war it started out being and everyone is seeing that even the President.. he knows, that's why he left Rumsfeld go, he's trying to clean it up

Ask the Jews who were in death camps.

Certainly, all war is unfortunate. But it can be for the greater good.

Stop using reality and logic, liberals hate that and will get your account cancelled. Just sing Kumbiya and LOL at them behind their backs.
