Having lost every war they have ever been in alone can the americans win this on. ie vietnam oh the aussies were in there the kiwis and the koreans. has the usa messed up by saying there is no special relationship with the uk anymore.

i am not saying it has anything to do with the uk but the uk is the only big friend the usa has at the moment and i dont think the usa has enough soldiers to police the whole of iraq and the rest of the world like it tries to. the uk has alot of soldiers in iraq and to replace them with american soldiers will hurt the usa quite a bit the usa is struggling to get soldiers in to iraq as it is and replace them. hasn;t the usa called up the national guard to fight now.

We won both we fought with the British. We beat Mexico and Spain. We won the one we fought between ourselves. And we basically saved the mighty British Empire in both WWI and WWII. So don't knock us. When the USA pulls out of Iraq, the government there now will fall. They will have themselves a celebration for a week, then commit national suicide in a unrestrained civil war. The US can "win" in Iraq without any alllies.

It depends on how one defines "win", it depends on the will of the US population to continue spending $8 billion/month and the lives of perhaps 200 soldiers a month, it depends on the capability and willingness of the Iraqi government and people to take responsibility for their own security. And it depends on Iran and Syria to control terrorists crossing their borders into Iraq.

In Korea they got their arses kicked by the North Koreans, and in Vietnam, whether war was "declared" or not really is irrelevant.
