I have his ship name and address but am I allowed to just send him something are will he get in trouble? I realize that they only have a limited amount of space on board so I can't send anything huge but is there any restrictions? How do I address the package if I am allowed to send him something. Thanks for your help.

I know he's a gas turbine systems tech. would I put engine room? Help ! This really means a lot to me that I surpise him so any help is greatly appreciated.

food is always nice, especially prepackaged stuff that won't go bad. you are correct that there is limited space, so think about sending magaizines, that he can share with his shipmates.
Address:
Rank Name
Division
USS Rubber Ducky
FPO AP Zip code
The only restrictions are whatever the USPS are

You can send him a care package. Let's just say that you don't want to put in anything liquid. Also, if you bake anything make sure that it sealed nice and tight as stuff can go stale QUICK! Put a piece of bread in w/ cookies and it keeps them moist.
Also, no porno. It's against the regulations....i think!
Hope this helps you. Oh, also you are going to need to go to the post office and fill out a white overseas package form. This is necessary when sending any package to a ship that is out to sea.
Good luck!

Well, don't you already send him letters? Same address applies whether it's letters or packages. You could call the local Navy recruiter and ask him/her if there are any restrictions as far as what can or cannot be sent.

Best way to address the package is such:
Sailor's Name
Ship name / Department / Division / Work center
FPO #
As for what you can send... keep it simple, prepackaged goods like candies and such, stuff that is packaged well and will not get damaged, small items, maybe a few dvds and such.

at the beginning something you deliver from abode will placed a grin on his face, & he will savor. even regardless of if it quite is basically a image or purely some written words. as a techniques because of the fact the handle, each and every thing you have been instructed is right. All i will inform you is that he's interior the engineering dept. so a techniques as branch & artwork center, the postal clerks on board can forward it from there, he gets it. there is not any longer something extra uplifting than mail from abode once you're deployed quite once you're distant places for the duration of the trip journeys.

Address it to his name and rank and the ship's address. It shouldn't be a problem. Just don't mail him anything illegal or contraband.

Well you can send him anything but items that melt or ruin. Send it like you do letters to him.
