He was at the Burger King yesterday sitting all alone sobbing in his french fries. I asked him what was wrong and he said he couldn't stand his life. "I've come to realize that I've been a coward all my life, and now I'm too old to change it", he said. He told me that he used to try to console himself with the fact that he was once in the service, but finds it harder and harder not to accept the fact that he was a failure there. Now he realizes men much better than himself are fighting a war that is too frightening for him to even consider. He said "Now I'm just a lonely old man and there's nothing I can do to make myself feel better except try to demean those guys who are fighting". He told me he likes to target marines because they represent all he could never be. I felt sorry for him but couldn't think of a thing to say. What would you tell him?

I believe they do because the insurgents are making the Marines and Army eat tons of it. This war is going the way of Vietnam.

they think they're so good, with their diamond formations, but am more worried about cloud formations after their pointless "display" who thinks it should be banned? or the government should tax them.

My friend is going through boot camp right now with the Army. Is there any specific things that maybe he would like to hear? What did you like to hear when you were in boot camp? What did you not want to hear? Thanx much!

I am thinking about being a TACP, but I want to go into Intelligence instead. I still do want some action/time in the field in my day though.

So I took my asvad yesterday, and I'm sure I want to go active duty, but I don't have a clue about any of the Jobs I can take.
I know my recruiter and I could talk about it later this week, but I would like something to think on unitl then.
I know I'll be deployed to iraq so I"m not asking what job would keep me from being deployed and besides I want to fight for the country and people I so dearly love.
I was just wondering what are some good jobs.

The support for the war is going down. Agree? No WMD, No threat to the USA. Iraq did not do 9-11 So why are we in Iraq? What a waste. How about you young gung ho people here go and join the military and make Mr Bush happy. My real question here is this. How will the people in the USA hold their head up in a proud way when we lose the so called war in Iraq? And you do "know" we will lose. Right?

Iraq did not do 9-11. If Iraq survives as a nation or as some other name it won't affect my freedom or lack of it. So how is fighting in Iraq protecting me?
