An infantry company has 4 platoons. HQ, 1st, 2nd,3rd platoons. The size can vary between a mech. infantry co. and a light infantry co. around 100 to 120 depending if unit is at 100%.

Depends on if you are talking about mech infantry, airborne infantry, air assault infantry or leg infantry. Anti tank company, headquarters company etc.

Then you have to consider which TOE the unit is formed on.

Basic answer 120-150.

A company made up of just 2 platoons? When I woke up this morning, the infantry company I'm in had FOUR platoons - as it's always had since I've known it. As for the exact strength of a light vs mechanized infantry company, you didn't ask which military branch or nation, questioner - and every national military has their own setup. Think the question out better next time. Better yet, look it up yourself.

Things like this are not exactly secret but then again I'm not sure there's a need to discuss force strength or composition on an international forum with those who don't have a need to know.
