what branch of the millitary is the best to join and why?

I think that the capabilities of the F-14 greatly out-weighed the capabilities of the F-18D super hornet.
First off the super hornet is a multi-role fighter that is mainly intended for low level fighting.
The F-14 was a multi-role fighter that was intended for Air superiority.
In my opinion (and i am an aircraft maintainer in the air force) If the enemy were to bring in air superiority fighters they could fly right over the top of the Super Hornets.
the engines are not big enough to suck enough air, and the wings are too small to duke it out at 60,000 feet, and the Super Hornets do not have the range needed to take on a fight at that altitude.
that is exactally why we dumped off the F-4 to start with and went with the F-14 and the F-15. because the Foxbats could just walk away from our F-4's.
what do you think?

drops out of highschool they should be forced to go into the military? Or have the same ideology as some smaller countries that they must serve atleast 2 yrs after highschool (unless they go on to college)? I know its kind of an old school idea, but it used to be a semi-popular one, I was just curious how the rest of the US still felt about this?

wouldn't you have to kill everbody? Even if only one person were saved he might always be at war with himself for being the one who was chosen to carry on the human race.

"Look what you have done! Damn you... Damn you straight to Hell!"

"Well, hey, at least we ain't dead."

"Shut up! I'm here by myself..."

"Oh, really?"

"And I don't talk to myself."

"OK. If you say so."

"Oh, Dear God! Why did the choose me?"

"Because you're a nice guy."

"What?!?"

"I said you're a nice guy."

"Be quiet...."

"I can't. I'm bored"

"Shut up!"

"What are we going to do today?"

"I'm not listening to you."

"Yes, you are."

"Maybe I should build a fire?"

"Oh, no! Don't do that."

"And why the hell not?"

Thought you weren't listening to me."

"Argh!!"

"What's you're problem?"

"Geez! what am I going to do?"

"I don't know."

"If you do leave me the..."

You'll what, kill me?"

"What if I build the fire over here?"

"Not a good idea."

"Why not?"

"Because I killing me would kill you"

"Go away."

"Have you seen yourself lately?"

I mean, it's so good, don't you think, to see the US now making amends for past lacklustre performance, by doing some real policing around the world, after their past dismal performances and lack of bodily commitment of the previous 2 World Wars.
I guess it's now their turn to take the Brunt ot the work, I suppose ... but good to see the current generation rise to the occasion, nevertheless.

In both World War 1 and WW2, of course, they did not even bother entering them until the show was either all over, or until the vast majority of the Real Bull work was done - especially, in WW1 - but you would have thought they would have learnt that lesson sooner, than to wait until Pearl Harbour to bodily commit themselves in WW2!
Wouldn't you??

calling up former marines, that's basically the same thing.we all know whether the media will admit again or not, that wmd's were found and of course everyone knows he used them on his own people.so getting rid of hussein was a good thing, but its just hard to fight a war against the enemy that can blend in, and we, who cannot blend in.I don't think we should leave too soon because then it will all be for nothing. politicians shouldn't be so concerned with what the lies the liberal media keeps feeding the public, but they should do what they know is right.I wish we could train the iraqis faster so we can leave faster.

Two things to know before you read below: Marines are taught 1) Keep your priorities in order and 2) Know when to act without hesitation.

A Marine was attending a college course between missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The professor, an avowed atheist, shocked the class one day when he walked in, looked toward the ceiling, and said loudly, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes."

The lecture room fell silent and the professor began his lecture. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God - still waiting."

It got down to the last minute when the Marine stood up, walked toward the professor and threw his best punch knocking him off the platform and out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat down.

The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied, "God is busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to behave like an idiot and say stupid stuff. So He sent me

Israelis have been killing Lebanese people - not just terrorists, probably a very few percentage of them were actual terrorists, but innocent people - with American-made weapons. We also supply them monetarily. We're leading the so-called "War on Terror," yet at the same time we're enabling terrorists. Isn't America great?
