Military - August 2006

Everyone knows Isreal has nukes and as they shown in Lebanon they don't fear using force. If they "feel" threaten will Isreal use their nukes? Personally I find any country in that region with Nuclear capability a potentially dangerous situation.

Aside from the whole Iraq thing, I see a lot of questions of why we don't just nuke or attack these two countries. Aside from the fact that we would piss off either the entire M. East or China and Russia, can't people see that an attack on a foregin country on a "percieved" threat is a door that no one should open especially not the world's only super power. If we can do it, what's to stop others from doing the same using the same excuse. Being attacked first and retaliating sucks but outright World war for "percieved" threats would be much worst.

how come thermonuclear bombs are accepted as a wepeon of deterrent but a nuetron bomb is not? the only difference i can see from my limited knowledge is the nuetron bombs leave the buildings and such intact?

what does it mean "surface to recharge the batteries"? How did surfacing recharge batteries? Did it just give a chance for the batteries to charge quicker becuase as much power is not required to run while surfaced?

I don't beleive the UN will do anything about stoping Iran from devel. nukes. Does anyone see a strong corelation between the apeasement of Iran and the apeasement of Hitler decades ago?...I sure do. Would tacticle strikes on Iran be better or worse for our country in the short and long term? I just don't see Iran launching a large scale war if we did so.

im in the national guard.
i served a year in Iraq, no purple heart.

i have used my 100% tuition assistance
i have used my GI Bill
i use the tuition reduction forms offered by universities for members of the military

but i would like to continue my education even further. where else can i look to get money for college?

i have heard there is $35,000 in education benifits available for veterans to go to college and id like to learn more about what that program is.

any advice?

He was at the Big Boy Restaurant this morning in Mt Clemens Michigan and had a bowl of food but was just sitting there crying his eyes out. He was saying through his tears " We are getting a butt thumping and old George said this war would be a piece of cake but we are going down like Vietnam". With that he put his face in the soup and tried to end it all. However, an Arab saved him and that made the Marine cry harder. What a sight that was. Anyone else feel shame coming?
