Name the top ten armies in the world at the end of 2005 ranked by numbers of armed men and women and the quantity and quality of their military equipment and technological advancement ?

Let me give it a shot
Russia was number 1 with over 6 million dressed, 25 years ago.
1. China - 2.8 million-person army is the world's largest but is poorly trained and equipped. Low Tech.
2. India is 2,414,700 strong, the second largest in the world Simlier to China above.
4. North Korea, Active forces: 1.14 million poorly trained and equipped, very low Tech
Well I found the first, second and 4th largest militarys in the world but that is not the most powerful. If I find more I'll post them. Keep in mind that these are not the largest all time armys only the current largest in troops. As far as high tech #1 would be the USA followed by Russia. I believe Isreal is very close to the top because they are armed by the USA but still yet their tech is 10 to 25 years old. Most other countries are 50 to 100 years behind like China 50 years, North Korea 50 to 60 years, Iran 60 to 70 years and so on.

1.US- SHEER SIZE of army, best training, State of the art equipment, can kick any 1's *** in conventional warfare
2.RUSSIA- Technology and training make them pritty lethal, They have great technology, If the soviet union never broke up into smaller states back in than 80s than i would say that they were par with America
3.England has one of the most experienced battle worthy armies world wide they have a brilliant history of fighting against all odds when outnumbered 10:1, There technology is superb, there small army can pack a hell of a punch, the brits lead by example.
4.CHINA-Massive army, all they need to do is flood the battle field with human waves, there quality is improoving dramatically, however they do lack technologies which are the norm in all other armies i.e. THEY lack a decent air cavlary, they could do with some high performance tank busting choppers,
5.Germany- one of the most deadlist armies the world has ever seen, they conqoured half of europe thrice, They'v advanced soo deep into russia that they lost total contact with logistics in world war 2, they'v invaded and taken over the french thrice, They have the best armour in the whole world,
6. Israil- I would'nt say opening fire on demonstrators and thr killing rock throwing palestinians is comedable, But there intellegence is extreemly Good, they have taken out enemies which out number them 7:1 thanx to the american tax payer, there armour is very good and there space research as well as battlefield performance is excellent.
7. Japan- The worlds richest country with the worlds most pricy military there cutting edge technology makes them strong,
8.South Korea Great army, ectreemly good technology
9 and 10 between india and pakistan
India- Huge size, army is massive, there special forces r world class, They have great helo support, they are'nt renowed for kicking @ss, there regular infantary is poorly equipped.
Pakistan-Pak regulars serve as instructors throughout the world, There good for defending the motherland,have been praised by the UN for there peace keeping missions, have fairly good equipment, have a very well trained, unlike there indian counterparts they can mobalise there forces relatively quickly on the border, may be after the army's reduction we may see a better equipped pak army, and may be after the full introduction of helos and AL-khalid tanks, The Pak army may be higher up the list.

idk.. all i know is that China has the both the largest infantry and air force... thats y we rnt trying to ¨liberate¨them.. cuz they´de kick our *** up and down the street.
