He was at the Big Boy Restaurant this morning in Mt Clemens Michigan and had a bowl of food but was just sitting there crying his eyes out. He was saying through his tears " We are getting a butt thumping and old George said this war would be a piece of cake but we are going down like Vietnam". With that he put his face in the soup and tried to end it all. However, an Arab saved him and that made the Marine cry harder. What a sight that was. Anyone else feel shame coming?

You are so bonkers that you are now a parody of yourself....

I have to come to this Big Boy restaurant and watch all these marines who jump on their hats, all cry uncontrollably, fall in love with Arab waiters and now attempt suicide by drowning in a bowl of soup......

You have a better comedic touch and imagination that Michael Moore

Oddly enough, your factoid didn't make the newswires. Shocking, really, considering how few people have tried to commit suicide with soup.

I would suggest the following :

1) Put your imagination to better uses than flaming Yahoo Answers. Creative writing classes come to mind.
2) Prove your erudition by exercising the proper use of the comma. E.g. : "... sitting there, crying ...", "...tears, "We... ", "... with that, he ..."
3) Stop dreaming about crying Marines and please stop embarassing people who feel that the war in Iraq is a bad idea.

actually, you see, he was not saying those words, he was merely repeating what you were thinking - he is telepathic.
he was sitting there, enjoying a hot bowl of soup, instead of an MRE in the dust bowl. thinking about the fact his great-grandfather served in WWI, his uncles & Godfather in WWII, his father & uncle in Korea and his cousins & buddies in desert storm and now him. thinking about them and the sacrifices they made, how his grandma's health took a toll while she had to work the farm and also hold down a full time job (to support her husbands efforts) while living with her mother who would watch their children....
here he was, carrying out the tradition, the honour, the sacrifice.

he was sitting there (and it was an Elias Big Boy's) and thinking about his buddy that he "upped with" they called him Steve. steve was great - they did boot camp at Pendelton. Wow, they'd seen it all together. Now he sits alone at the big boy they used to hang out at after their high school dances. he's there alone becuase while he traveled back home with Steve, he just came from the funeral parlor.
he then thinks to the time when "it" happened. they were just starting an 8 hour leave - it'd been 16 days since they had a few hours to themselves from the rebuilding effort - they were working on the local school. a woman frantic came running up that her child was injured. she thrust the child at Steve, it took only a moment for him to see the bomb strapped to the innocent child. Steve, a true brother, friend and Marine, dropped his body over the child to spare me and "the woman".

that's why he was crying, becuase he heard your arrogance, your ignorance and he tried to push his face into the soup to drownn out your words. he tried to forget the fact that for 3 generations his family had been standing for America & the American Way. My God man, where do you think you'd be living today if it were not for our armed services.
If you do not believe in what they do -- leave, i'm sure they won't mind & i know i wouldn't!

to all our Military men, women & their families -- Semper Fi & Godspeed!

Yeah, sure, another lie coming from someone with a warped view of the world -- ignorant to the extreme.

This tale is some bull! This is nothing like Vietnam, although the liberal media is trying to spin it from their 40 year old playbook.

If a Marine was crying it was because he is fighting for people like you so you can disrespect him and others freely.

You should try using this talent to write books or something instead of wasting it on yahoo answers.
