We have entered a "New World Order" where the American Constitution is just an arcane piece of literature that does not apply to modern society. We the people are losing more and more of our rights. In all probability a Demoncratic government will be elected and our second amendment rights will be completely erased. The current Republicant government is already taken steps to pave the way. The popular vote is a brainwash job and does not mean squat as to who is elected president. The president is "elected" by an electorial coledge.

With the price of gas going up, everything is going up (gorceries, housing, etc...), while our pay goes spiraling downward. The "open" border with Mexico and trade with Communist China garenties that we will only be able to compete economically by working longer hours with less pay. The road to an armed revolution gets shorter every day.

Given the technological advantages of the USA I feel such a move would be unwinable. Comments please.

Do you think that we have entered the Third World War?

The current 'war' is multinational and fought in many lands.

For example:

USA - Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Sudan
Israel - Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Iraq
Russia - Chechnya
UK - Afghanistan, Iraq
China - East Turkestan (ETIM)
India - Kashmir, Pakistan

There have been conflicts in the past as well as present. As you can see on the right of the group are Islamic nations.

You may contrast this with world war 2 and the spread of faschists and nazis.

Is this the beginning of a new type of world war?

Apart from Old Sid, this idea found favour in the pub last night. In future the world's fighting forces can only be made up of people over seventy.

I just don't understand why NATO don't do anything to stop the war between Lebanon and Israel? Isn't that the reason why NATO is made, to stop any wars?

There are a lot of generalized questions on here about George Bush and I'm NOT a fan of his but that is beside the point here. I understand people aren't happy about us going to Iraq. I get that - old news. Now, with the Middle East conflict -- between Lebanon/Hezbollah vs. Israel, where does George Bush fall into play with this? I know he was not "for" a cease fire -- but in this case, he did't start that war......am I right? So why are people angry at him for THIS PARTICULAR issue? Okay - so the U.S. is backing Israel. Why would we back Hezbollah since they truly are a terrorist organization? I am asking because I am a bit confused about this - not because I am bashing anyone. Would someone PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS to me. Thank you very much.

Probe backs allegations against Marines By ROBERT BURNS, AP Military Writer

WASHINGTON - An initial U.S. military probe supports allegations that the Proud American Marines deliberately shot 24 Iraqi civilians in Haditha last November, a Pentagon official said Wednesday. The Proud Marines stated it was the American way.

The Marine Corps and Navy prosecutors are now reviewing the evidence to determine whether to recommend criminal charges. That decision may be weeks away, and the lawyers may ask investigators to probe further, two officials said.

They discussed the matter on condition they not be identified because the case — among the most sensational of several involving Iraqi civilian deaths — has not yet produced charges.

"It's fair to say that the majority of the work has been done and the Marines did it and then laughed about it. The Marines stated President Bush was proud of them and would request other Marines to do the same thing. It is the American way.

Isn't that one sided? What they are basically saying is that Israel should not allowed to defend itself. I don't think people realize that if Israel stopped defending itself, attacks on it would not stop. The Arabs want Israel gone and are not afraid to say it. Why are so many people so Naive?

An Ambassador about to retire has said that Iraq is in a mess on the brink of a civil war. With as many as 50 deaths a day, the situation is out of control. We invaded the country on false doctored evidence, based on lies. We removed the dictator, but the country is currently in chaos with up to 50 civilians and 10 troops dying daily.

Are you proud or ashamed of what we are doing in that beleagured country, and do you have any solutions?.
