If you are single or dual military, you will need to get a Family Care plan. you will need to find a short term/short notice caretaker, and then a long term guardian, especially being OCONUS. If your husband is a civilian, teach him how to change diapers...
The Navy calls it being on LIMDU..Limited Duty, whereby you could be excused from doing your normal job if it involves heavy lifting or extraordinary physical exertion..typically pregant Sailors , if their jobs aren't already 'desk jobs' get sent somewhere to do just that.. a desk job. I have seen people get sent to places like the Gym to hand out basketballs as well as doing filing for the Admiral.

talk with your 1st shirt, and then legal..to get things prepared if you have to go into a hostile area (care takers for your little one).
and ArmyWife_SAHM, its not your place to pass judgment on her...I'm sure you've done somethings your not proud of. and besides...she never stated that she was single! don't you know that mother's who are married or engaged and in the military get pregnant too. and besides birth control is not 100% effective. and you can't tell her to NOT have relationships...so hush. your assumptions have made YOU the @ss in this situation. you don't know the full story.

Contact ACS and they will help you. Get with your chain of command.
I have to honestly say I can never understand why single women soldiers get themselves in this situation in the first place.

You need to talk to your chain-of-command. In fact you should have had your first formal counseling session (discussing your options, your benefits and your obligations) by now.
BTW - if you are pregnant you are also on profile. Have you been counseled regarding PT, work restrictions etc?

Your First Shirt will work this out with you. You'll need to designate care givers to take care of your child if you are deployed or have to work shift-work.
