Let me know your opinion about this, I just quit my job and need money because school is starting soon and I dont have the money and wont unless someone else pays for it (yeah right). If i sign up for navy, will they help me out with my finances? Also, what r ur thoughts on the whole idea of joining. Is it worth it in the long run? What r some of the benefits that I will get out of it? THanks in advance!!

I told him how silly he was to go into the military. I also told him the Marines are getting a butt beating. However, I will be nice to him. I'll push him around in a wheel chair when he gets his legs blown off.

And please don't tell me that the UN has a resolution for this and an article for that, as they seem to me, to be the embodiment of procrastination !!! What will prevent 'who ever has the bigger stick' ?
We got away with it at the Bay of Pigs - but will ''my one is bigger than yours'' prevail this time - maybe Clatu will land & Gort can do something about it - what do you think please - because we don't seem to have got out of the playground - do we?

Accused U.S. soldiers refuse to testify By RYAN LENZ, Associated Press Writer
TIKRIT, Iraq -.... Four U.S. soldiers accused of murdering Iraqi detainees refused to testify Thursday at a military hearing, where witnesses described how one of the victims spat blood as he lay dying and another was covered in brain matter.

The four invoked their right not to testify for fear of incriminating themselves at the hearing to determine if they should be court-martialed for the May 9 shooting deaths. Instead, their attorneys submitted sworn statements and rested their case on the third day of the hearing.

The defendants — Pfc. Corey R. Clagett, Spc. William B. Hunsaker, Staff Sgt. Raymond L. Girouard and Spc. Juston R. Graber — initially said the three detainees were killed because they tried to escape, but military prosecutors have said they were freed before being shot.

The troops have said this is the American way to kill arabs and they are proud to kill for Bush.

Top generals see threat of Iraq civil war By Kristin Roberts and Vicki Allen

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iraq is caught in the worst sectarian violence yet seen and faces the threat of civil war, two of the United States' senior generals said on Thursday, three years after the U.S. invasion.

"Sectarian violence probably is as bad as I've seen it, the senior Generals stated. Rumsfelt and Bush did not tell the truth about Iraq and another General said this about his boss Rusfelt.." Rumsfelt always put on a happy face about the war and he refused to admit the war was going badly". Now troops are dying for nothing and the warmongers don't want to admit that. The warmongers and Bush supporters should be ashamed. Do all of you here on this board agree?

Top generals see threat of Iraq civil war By Kristin Roberts and Vicki Allen

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iraq is caught in the worst sectarian violence yet seen and faces the threat of civil war, two of the United States' senior generals said on Thursday, three years after the U.S. invasion.

"Sectarian violence probably is as bad as I've seen it, in Baghdad in particular," Army Gen. John Abizaid, the head of U.S. Central Command, told a Senate hearing. "If not stopped, it is possible that Iraq could move toward civil war and we will lose.
Marine Corps Gen. Peter Pace, the most senior U.S. military officer, also said there was a "possibility" of civil war in Iraq, where the violence has claimed about 100 lives a day. Asked whether he would have seen a chance of civil war a year ago, He replied, "No, sir."

Abizaid, said there is no way now the U.S. can win in Iraq. We are going to lose the war in Iraq Abizaie stated. The USA will have "EGG" on its face. We are going down.

Bush did it for the oil.Bush did it for the oil.
Why would Bush go half way around the world to take oil ,when he could use imagration as the reason and take Mexico?
He could offer visa's and citizen ship to ensure an easy take over.
With the liberal spin look at it close it makes no sense.
It would not take ships to bring it to us could just pipe it to Texsas. I think this makes more sense than going to Iraq for it.
What do you think ?

I think I remember from school that the Americans had to resort to guerilla tactics against the much stronger, richer, and more technically advanced British. Why are we so angry now that modern day insurgents are resorting to the same tactics in lands we are occupying?

I just want to know who else is fed up with all these different people who happen to be AMERICAN and complain about AMERICA. They say the government is so corrupt. They say the military is fighting a useless cause. They whine and whimper about how bad our country is and how it's getting worse. They use their right to their freedom of speech WHICH the GOVERNMENT provided and mainly MILITARY literally fought for. What really bugs me is all those people who harp on the military. It's sad that these are the people who protect their right to complain and are out their putting their lives on the line just so these kind of people can enjoy their freedoms and act like dumb *****. We all have our opinions, but that is so hiprocritical to knock the country that you live in! If it's so horrible and shameful to live here, then get out! No one is forcing you to stay! It's a free country remember. You "haters" can say what you will, it really doesn't matter to me. Don't like where you live? Get OUT.

Why is difficult for the Bush administration to admit that Iraq is now in a civil war and has been for three years? Does anyone know the origins and history of why Sunnis, Shiias and Kurds are up in arms? Iraq looks more and more like Bosnia when it declared its independence from the former Yugoslavia.
