Accused U.S. soldiers refuse to testify By RYAN LENZ, Associated Press Writer
TIKRIT, Iraq -.... Four U.S. soldiers accused of murdering Iraqi detainees refused to testify Thursday at a military hearing, where witnesses described how one of the victims spat blood as he lay dying and another was covered in brain matter.
The four invoked their right not to testify for fear of incriminating themselves at the hearing to determine if they should be court-martialed for the May 9 shooting deaths. Instead, their attorneys submitted sworn statements and rested their case on the third day of the hearing.
The defendants — Pfc. Corey R. Clagett, Spc. William B. Hunsaker, Staff Sgt. Raymond L. Girouard and Spc. Juston R. Graber — initially said the three detainees were killed because they tried to escape, but military prosecutors have said they were freed before being shot.
The troops have said this is the American way to kill arabs and they are proud to kill for Bush.

Hey guys, we all support the troops but you need to understand that just because you are in the military does not give you immunity from everything. If a person commits a criminal action then they should be punished for it.
All around the world the U.S. parades our form of Justice and we claim to be moral higher then all. Let us then live up to our justice, protect the innocent and punish the criminals.
Remember though INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.
Also remember that just because you are in the military doesn't make you an angel and immune to prosecution.

You're the true shame of the military. How dare you bash the men and women that you served with. Yes, the troops are proud....they're doing their job. Why don't you try pointing out the GOOD we've done instead of all this bogus propaganda that you so love to post. People like you sicken me. I feel sorry for you that you have nothing better to do with your life and time then hurt the military that protects your very rights to say those things. Maybe you should seek help for your hatred and move on with your life. What a pitiful soul you are. After 20 years in the military I can tell you that they do not represent the military. Under stress of battle conditions some do become bad. The military is made up of the people you see around you every day. They have been trained and are in bad conditions but they are not that different. Most are good people but there are bad ones too. With the media of today we only hear of the bad. The rest are not NEWS.

Keep in mind that being accused of something and being guilty of it are 2 different things.
Our legal system is way out of wack. There is a problem with prosicutors simply trying to close a case reguardless of guilt or innocence.

I can say that anyone in the military now would be ashamed that you were once a part of them. They are fighting because that's what they do. They are fighting to show people that America can defend herself and anyone else who needs help. You disgust me.
Coming from a military family I can say that you need some serious help.
