Hezbollah attacked Israel, unprovoked. Israel has retaliated. The Lebanese military (Their highest ranking officer) has shouted his support for Hezbollah. Since Hezbollah is a known terrorist organization, Israel must now watch it's back because of the Lebanese military and it's ties to terror.

Side note.... People also keep shouting for cease fire and for Israel to give them land to pacify them (Hezbollah and other countries/organizations). Israel HAS given land, yet this brings no peace. Israel has stopped aggression before, only to be answered by more attacks by the radicals. Israel has the right to exist and to defend itself.

The only way you get peace from Radical Terrorist Militant Islamic countries/organizations is to eliminate them. You win the war, you have your peace. The more you try to appease these whack-job militants, the more they will become the aggressor.

Wow, you could write books on this question.

Basics start off with Theodore Herzel and the Zionist movement from 1896 and the first convention in 1897.

Next you have Sykes-Picot agreement of 1916

Then you got the Balfour Decleration in 1917.

After that I would say the 1948 decleration of independence of Israel on Palestinian land and the 1948 Arab Israeli war after it.

Then you got the 1967, 1970, 1973 wars.

Later you get the 1982 occupation of Lebanon.

1987 First intifada and the rise of Hamas

2000 The Second Intifada

2000 Israeli withdrawl from Lebanon

2006 the capture of 1 Israeli soldier in Gaza by Hamas and the Capture of 2 Israeli soldiers in north Israel by Hizballah.

I suggest you start reading and make your own opinion on the subject.

Hisbollah's major population is unemployed and displaced persons from various parts of Palastine.

I came to know that some have criminal records and some join for retaliation out of hatred over Israel.

Most of these people are unable to manage in some other Gulf countires due to lack of education and work experience.

Families of these fellows are looked after by some Arab charity trusts and while they distribute they put a prior condition of having their youngsters in the terrorist activities.

At the end, now the girls in teens also entering the terrorist activities. unnecessarily they have to face severe risk, I suppse!

Dislike for each other, also bigotry and hatred which is primarily an Arab and Muslim thing in the middle east. The Hezbollah terrorists are radical Muslims. General Colin Powell experienced Arab bigotry against Jews during preparations in Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm, and wrote about it in his autobiography "My American Journey". American Jewish soldiers were not even allowed by the Saudis to worship on Arab soil, and had to flown out to American ships on their Sabbath.
