You have to accept that this is his choice and support him. I absolutely hate the mess that our politicians have gotten us into, but at no time will I say anything bad about any man or woman who is defending our country. They are taking orders from Congress and the President, no matter how misguided these orders may be. As far as the wheelchair goes, I hope you don't mean that, I will send out good thought for him and everyone else who is caught up in the mess in Iraq, and Afghanistan.

Maybe I'll come over and put you in a wheelchair just for being a smarta$$. Do you honestly think that having the balls to be a Marine and serve this country so wisea$$es like you can be protected by the freedom they provide is something to joke about ?
Maybe you should do something more meaningful with your life and join him.
Please don't voice your opinion too loudly in public - I may be the Marine standing right behind you.
Suuport your military whether you agree about what their doing or not.

As the child of a Marine who was overseas during the Vietnam war - I'd like to tell you to suck it up.
First - your nephew has to go through 13 weeks of basic training before he actually sees any fighting. AND - Secondly - The Corps' Core Values are Honor, Courage and Commitment. These values make up the bedrock of a Marine's character. During recruit training, recruits are taught these Core Values and the numerous others attached to them, such as integrity, discipline, teamwork, duty and esprit de Corps. All of which are sorely lacking in this generation's children.
I don't agree with this war - but there are American men and women overseas risking their lives so you can make opinionated comments like that without fear of repercussions.
You should thank your nephew - not criticize him!

Your type is what gets our military killed. What if he sees your lousy comment. You can live free and say what you want to because of good men like him that are willing to fight for what they believe in. A free country for people like you that don't care what happens to our country and would not stand up and fight for it if the war came over here. My father, grandfather, nephews, nieces, and many others in my family are paying a great price for you to be able to say the things you do and be free to make your own decisions about your life.

I feel sorry for your nephew cause I know he is hanging his head in shame having a uncle like you.
And if I was his mother I would slap the crap out of you for making that statement.

This "question" was a stupid thing to post. If any of it is really true, you deserve all of the negative comments that you got here a hundredfold. Even assuming it's not true, it's a foolish, stupid attitude.

I hope he will be okay. It is sad that soldiers have to suffer for the idiocy of politicians.

You are a sick person.
It's too bad you can't support his decision. I guess we will be seeing you out there with Mother Sheehan.
