The KA-50 and the AH-64 Apache are both excellent aircraft. They both carry laser guided and IR guided anti tank missles, as well as heavy cannon and a host of other munitions. One advantage that the Apache has is the tactical coordination with the OH-58 Kiowa observation aircraft, which has a set of 'eyes' on a mast mounted over the rotor. With this, the Kiowa can do the looking, and the Apache has simply to pop up and fire, it doesn't have to look for the target. The Kiowa will tell them where to face, and all they have to do is wait for the lock signal, fire, and drop below the tree line. To my knowledge, the Russians do not have a cooperative system like this.
Also, the new Longbow Apache has a sensor mast similar to the Kiowa, and is even more formidable than the original.

In my limited opinion, I think the Apache has the edge with all things being equal.
American design tends to be more technical and if the conditions of the test degrade (i.e. lack of scheduled maintenance, adverse weather conditions, etc.) I believe the KA50) would probably hold up better and be able to serve longer.
