I have bad knees and a slighty bad wrist which makes it hard for me to do pushups. I like pushups though which bites. I want to join the army national guard but I am not sure whether they would accept me. I am in good shape (mostly) and run track. I was just curious to hear military stories and if anyone has been accepted with minor injuries.

Today (JULY FOURTH), around 3 o'clock Eastern time, North Korea tested three missiles, one of which had three stages and was meant for intercontinental use. It has capabilities of reaching US soil. I personally think the US should take this as a threat to our safety and we should take offensive action. I am joining the military and if I knew i'd be fightiing in Korea, I would run to the nearest recruiting office and join RIGHT ******* NOW!

From everything I've seen and heard on news reports, the prisoners are living in air conditioned cells, given their religious freedoms, food for them is costing 3x what the military feeds itself, open to the Red Cross and anyone else who wants to check it out.
Granted there was the incidents of the photos at the begining, but I've always thought of torture as the way all America's past and present enemies treat our POW's. Like in Japan (WW!!), Vietnam, Germany (WWII) and Radical Islam?

Whether you agree with the war or not, is not my question. Do you support the US troops, is my question. Do you support our military men and women through their great trials?

It was always my understanding that the National Guard was state...meaning that if the state had an emergency, the Guard was activated and used in that capacity. The Army reserves was to replace the regular Army in posts in the U.S. when they were activated.

I mean raw power, no efficiency or accuracy involved. Just the impact of the lead and its victim.

I consider myself to be a very patriotic person. I am conservative, and have a brother in the military. My grandfathers were both veterans. I have a lot of respect for our military. AND I love America!! But, for some strange reason..that phrase just gets under my skin. I am not quite sure why. I guess it makes me think that freedom can be bought or something. Does anyone else feel this way? Wouldn't, "Freedom is earned" or "Freedom requires sacrifice"...something like that be more accurate and more appropriate??

I noticed that female officers are always overlyfriendly. They talk about sex in the open and just don't give a damn. Whereas a lot of lower enlisted try to be undercover freaks. They're ashamed to labeled by the guys and other females. Female Officers they don't give a damn! They're bold they'll come onto a guy. Anybody know why this is?

Reason I ask, is it might be a good thing because you two are having fun expressing your sexual fantasies and desires for one another. It's healthy and can promote sexual intimacy when you get back home. However, this can be a bad thing because if talking dirty gets too good your wife just might look for another guy to do what you preached to her. You got her all "hot" and in heat which could make you wonder what have I done? I created a monster! What do you think?
