It'll end when all people stop treating others like worthless piles of cow dung and learn to accept that each human being is worthy of being treated like one's own self. This is the best rule of thumb one can live by. Having said this I think terrorism will end the first of never. Sorry I'm just pessimistic.

Ending terrorism is simple. Ending it without creating other problems is not. Arab terrorism is sparked by these things.

Sense of invulnerability. They feel like they can get away with it.

A political group disguised as a religious organization. Very few Muslim clerics are not part of this crippling culture.

There is strong base support in Arab populations.

Funding

To defeat Arab terrorism we have to prove they are not invulnerable. Invading Iraq and Afghanistan worked toward eroding base support of funding, Arab Gov support/tolerance and support among the people.

Fighting the clerics until they cease preaching terrorism. Killing as many as is necessary. Making terrorism a dangerous occupation. Those will go a long way to stopping it. If we make it well known that death is the price of terrorism then only the most fantical will join.

If we cut off funding, thier ability to operate is hampered and they will tend to be limited to small scale local attacks for the most part.

What we cannot do is negotiate, placicate or reason with terrorists. In the case of Arab Terrorists if Isreal never existed there'd been some other spark that caused conflict. It was inevitable that the Arab world would eventually come into conflict with Western or Eastern cultures. The Arab response would be the same.

The IRA was born of the same kind of bitter hatred. It hid behind a noble cause but in the end wound up being nothing more than grandiose genicide. If the IRA killed only soldiers it'd suceeded 30 years ago. When it turned to terrorism it hardened the English against the cause. Caused far more problems than were there.

No terrorist group has ever had real success using terrorism. Terrorists are people who do not know history. So education itself is a grand weapon against terrorism. In Arab nations that is only going to happen by overturning the dark age mentality that chains Arabs to a system that failed every other feudal society. Feudal is exactly what kind of society the Arab world has right now.

So terrorism is likely to be around for a bit longer. However crushing Arab terrorism will do a great deal to prevent the next terrorist culture from forming. It is crucial to be an example to future would be terrorists to say, well we don't want what happened to the Arab terrorists to happen to us. Lets try a different direction.

Well if Cain killed Abel in the first years of the Earth - assuming you are Christian but if not image any 1st murder, then terror has always existed. The different is just the type of murder weapons. Terrorism began when the weapons were able to kill thousands at a time. It will never end, because you can not have uninvented a weapon.
