You have every right to be worried. This gentleman has always been a wild card in world politics. But considering how he always wants to be the center of attention, this may just be his attempt to get the U.S. and the rest of the world to pay attention to him, so he can say look what I can do. Then again maybe he cut a deal with Iran to get pressure off of them. Either way he is not playing with a full deck, unless the North Koreans wake up and realize they can have a better life without him the situation will remain the same.

By the United States refusal to abide by the Article VI- to pursue "good faith" efforts to eliminate nuclear weapons. Other countries feel they have just as much right to defend themselves from external aggression. What right does the USA have to let certain countries have nuclear weapons and others are not allowed to acquire the same. Are we the rulers of the world? Maybe, the greatest fear should be the nuclear weapons to be put in space or a possible malfunction of our and other countries alert systems. What about the nuclear waste that is transported and buried. What about our aging nuclear plants. The depleted uranium our troops and civilians are exposed too. Hell,we're screwed no matter which way you look at it.

As much as North Korean leader seem crazy and irrational, he is actually a very calculating man. He knows exactly what he is doing - that is to make US uncomfortable and make us give concessions. He will go very close to actually provoking a war, but he won't cross the last line - as he knows once he does, it takes no time for US to destroy him.

You don't hear about him much (until recently) in US, but in Asian countries, his threats are almost an annual event.

Don't live life in fear. There is no safe place in the world anyways. I wouldn't even view it as a threat. Your government isn't in there, so obviously they aren't that concerned, so why should you be?

I honestly wouldnt worry about it for those of you who actually do live in the U.S.

but for those of us who actually do live in asia, especially as close as Japan, we're used to these threats. honestly though, its nothing to get worked up about. No use losing sleep over it.
