ok so saythere was someone who was in the military and he was born in 1986 making him 20 but he scratched the 6 into a 5 making it 1985 and tried to use it to get in a club but the bouncers figured it out and took the card and gave it to the cops after the person left... if the police were to call the army and find this person how much trouble could he/she get in?

I was at a friends house tonight watching TV and left at about 3:30 am. I turned out of his neighborhood and their was a cop on the side of the road doing paper work(I could tell cause all his lights were off but the ones inside and I could clearly see him the entire time), the cop then pulled out behind me and followed me into my neighborhood and pulled me over. I live less than a mile away from my friend and he claims his reason for pulling me over is because I made an extremely wide turn out of the neighborhood, yet he didn't even see me when I was turning, I didn't make a wide turn at all, wasn't speeding, swerving, or anything like that. He asked me literally 7 times how much I had to drink and everytime I told him none, then he let me go home. But this pisses me off cause he did not have probable cause, I wasn't intoxicated, and I think the only reason he pulled me over is cause I was in red camaro. What can I say to the cop if this happens again, with out getting arrested?

Lets say I'm riding my bicycle and a car throws lets say a soda bottle or a cd at me. What exactly am I allowed to do? Obviously I can't chase and take a picture of the car.

Another question is lets say I get 'attacked' by someone with a knife. I'm allowed to use a weapon equivalent to his/her knife correct? How do laws work on what I can do to protect myself in terms of how I do it / what I use?
Thanks a lot

I live in southern California, I got a DUI and got my license suspended for 1 year, I'm currently 20 so by when I get my license back I'll be 21 and plan on applying to the LASD. But its better if I know right now so that I can change plans.

It was about 3 a.m. in Tampa, FL on I-275, speed limit 55 mph. The officer said, "I paced you from when you came onto the interstate at Busch Blvd up until here." 'Here' is Martin Luther King Blvd exit area. Thing is, I came onto the interstate at the Fowler Ave, that's a 1.5 mile difference. (He said he came onto the interstate at Fletcher Ave, 1 mile from Fowler and 2.5 miles from Busch.) After I told him I got on the interstate at Fowler, he said, "Would you like for me to change the ticket?" I said no. As I said, he said he paced me from Busch to MLK, going between 80 & 88 mph. It's 3.6 miles from Busch to MLK. 3.6 miles!!! At 80 mph, it's 2.7 minutes. At 88 mph, it's 2.45 minutes. Does it make any sense for an officer to PACE someone, going 25-33 mph over the speed limit, for 2+ minutes? I've gotten my share of tickets, so I don't go over 14 mph over the limit. Therefore, my max speed was 69...maybe 70. Do I have a case? And I'm not paying the $185 or having points assessed.

also what if you were charged and forced to give an admission statement even if the charges were not accurate and you were innocent and never stole anything? i.e. i wasnt even AWARE i was given a public record on my SS until i applied for a job 10 months after the incident and the company did a background check on me. i agreed because i was POSITIVE my backgroudn was cleared after i paid for my mistake. (i never stole anything though, i just thought it was no big deal and didnt want to go to court). it was a seasonal job, i was only working there for 2 weeks during december. so the cost of the item was $100.i was at the register. they have a pic of me, with the two women that walked off w/ the television set w/out paying. so i'm being blamed because target thinks that i HELPED them when i did not! they just fired me. now TMSC doesnt even have a record of my termination/dissimal papers or my statement where i wrote what happened in the incident. i need help!

I'm 16 and I have my provisional liscence and I got pulled over for speeding while two other minors were in the car. The officer gave me two tickets, one for speeding and one for violating my provisional liscence, and mentioned the possibility of traffic school but didn't mention anything about getting my liscence revoked. Besides this, my record is clean, and I get good grades. I have a court date in January, how likely is it that my liscence will be revoked and for how long?

I have been watching "Disorderly Conduct", a TV Show which focuses mostly on police chases. I have never seen one take place, but they somehow get enough clips to make a show out of it. I was just wondering if police chases happened a lot or on just a rare occasion.

Thanks

I have commited a driving offence a few weeks ago and the police have sent me the letter to ask who the driver was. However they have put the wrong date and time on the form. Do i do the honest thing and write back with admittance to the offence and correct them on the date or just send it back saying i wasn't the driver on that date and time? If i do send it back saying i wasn't the driver what will happen? It was not my vehicle but i was driving with permission from the owner and he has already had the initial form and named me as the driver but the original form had the correct date and times on.

Hello
I was arrested on a minor charge which is Disorderly Conduct. The office stated Iam placing you under arrest for "Disorderedly Conduct then hand cuffed me and placed me in his squad and took me to the station. He printed me I posted $300 dollars bail and was released. My rights were also were not read to me in the station.

I realize each day we are losing our rights by stupid law makers on the bench passing new laws to take from us, but do they have to read me my rights if they tell me and place me under arrest?

Thanks for reading

I once went to court for a moving violation of cutting thru the left side of a rotary circle, anyways when I went to court for the ticket, I saw all different kinds of cases, like running stop signs, or speeding, etc. I am wondering, how come everytime it was a speeding case, the judge asked the police officer for the doucments of the radar gun that showed that he was speeding. It looked like the police officer had to actually prove that the guy was speeding, by showing concrete evidence.

Anywayz, I thought that police officers word was enough in court. I heard that he does not have to prove it in that manner?
Does anybody have any ideas? im in marland by the way

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like every time I see a car pulled over, it is a male driver. Also when I talk to coworkers who were pulled over, the guys always got tickets, while the girls got warnings. Any ladies out there get pulled over and get tickets, or do you smile or cry your way out of them?

Should they just do the maximum 10 years or do you think they should do life. Me personnally i think that anyone no matter what age you are, if you intend to kill someone and know that what you are doing is wrong, i think that person should be in jail for life for sure! I am seeing alot more youth killings recently; where i live and all over canada, and the world and i think something needs to be done. I think youths do these for many reasons, gang initiation, gang relations ..tempers..etc. and they know they can get away with it...meaning they are only in jail for max youth sentence which is like 10 years. I think that is most ridiculous thing in my opinion.
