did you ever say something in court & the judge "just loose it" : laughing not screaming. if so what, what did you say?

Yes, I hydroplaned on River Road, & left the roadway. The cop said he had to give me a careless ticket, because I left the roadway, standard issue. So, I decided to fight it.
I said, 'They don't call it river road for nothing!' That got a good giggle out of him (the judge) & a few in the room! And, I got out of the ticket!

Yes, it was late in the day, and the judge said Miss, instead of Mister and then my last name. I looked up at the court and in my best (really bad) attempt at a female voice said, "Yes your honor." It all got a good laugh. Actually, there have been a lot of laughing over the years.

No... the judges up here are pretty solid. If they do find something amusing, they will wait until they are out of the court room and in their chambers before releasing that sort of emotion. You wouldn't want it on your public record if your judge started laughing at you, would you?

Although I do suppose there are rare circumstances.
