Lets turn this around, how many people you have killed to make this country. Native, slave and civil right workers. That your accestors never been held accountable for.

We live in iowa and I found out about this from someone else. When I asked him about it he told me it was a lie, so I did some investigating. He is driving my kids around all the time, I have reason to care. Sure enough he did get an OWI last month but he still has his license, how can this be possible??

A university student with a history of taping his own practical jokes was hit with a Taser gun by campus police and arrested after loudly and repeatedly trying to ask U.S. Sen. John Kerry questions during a campus forum.

Andrew Meyer, 21, spent a night in jail before his release Tuesday morning. His attorney, Robert Griscti, did not return messages seeking comment.

I just wanted clarification. Someone told me that they can use a taser if someone is resisting arrest despite being held on the ground by 4 or 5 officers. That just does not seem like appropriate use of deadly force to me.

The other night, I was walking to a bar that is right behind my apartment complex. I noticed some police officers posted up, and I thought they were going to say something, but they didn't. When I got to the bar, I decided I didn't want to go in because of the crowd and the music they were playing, so I started walking back home. The cops were still there, and this time, they did say something. In fact, they made me stand there answering questions, ran my I.D., searched me from head to toe! Three cops had me surrounded with their flashlights in my face, harrasing me while I'm walking through my own neighborhood! Are they allowed to just randomly search you like that?

I'm 17 years old and I was pulled over today for doing 65 in a 45 zone. I was given a court date even though I don't want to fight it, and there's no way that I gave the police officer any trouble. I don't know if the rules are different for each state, but I would like to know what to expect. Is there any chance that I'll lose my license? What will I have to say in court? Or will I even have to say anything since I'm a minor?

If I am innocent of a crime and run from the police, I've done something stupid. In our current real world, I won't argue that. But what have I done wrong, really?

I am fine with someone being arrested who is caught in the act of committing a crime. I think also that a provision should be made to arrest a person who was charged and convicted in court who (after being given the opportunity) chose not to appear in their defense.

Absent, these provisions, I think that the crime really comes down to "disrespecting a cop". I believe that this has led to abuses and could lead to even worse abuses.

What do you think?

I was pulled over in VA for a dead inspection and I lost the ticket that the officer gave me. I went in and told them my name to prepay and they said that I wasn't in the system. I finally found the ticket so I went back and they still told me I wasn't in the computer. Finally they figured out that the officer had spelled my last name wrong. I missed my court date because of this error and they are saying that I'm still responsible. Is there any legal actions that I can take to get out of this ticket?

I know we have all seen the video of the University student in Florida who was taken down and tasered for continuing his question to Senator John Kerry after his microphone had been turned off. Do you think that this was needed to subdue him, or another case of cops wanting to use their gadgets?

He was arrested in our county while riding his motorcycles. The officer charged him with fleeing. He was out on the outskirts of town and rode a wheelie past him(which was wrong I know)but the officer didnt even turn around and chase him or hit his lights. He did however stop and talk to a guy my husband was riding with who was parked on the side of the road. Well the officer kept going the same way hed been going and my husband went the way he was going(opposite directions). My husband came back into town to head home and just happened to run into the officer and he pulled him over and said he was going to jail for fleeing. Well to me that doesnt sound right when he didnt run from him. He went to court today and the guy had come in and dropped the charges saying he'd made a mistake and was going to file them in a different county. Is this is even something he can do? What do you guys think?

I have an article of clothing that I found and would like to have DNA analysis performed on it. I was wondering if there is a laboratory that does this kind of work for the general public ane what the cost would be.

my friend was recently caught shoplifting and has been given dates to be fingerprinted and to see the judge. this is her first offence and it seems like she will be offered the diversion program.

she's thinking of making a short day trip to the US. but all the terminologies seem so intertwined and vague at times. so here are a few questions:

- is it considered an "arrest" in her case?
- has she been "charged"? (without fingerprinting and court yet)
- does this mean she has a criminal record?
- what would show up on her records right now?
- what implications are tied to a "pending" charge/record?
- a conviction is when you are found guilty?
- should she cross the border?
- if asked at the border "have you been convicted/charged/arrested?"...what should she say?

she's been asking around, but lawyers are sounding kinda sketchy and vague. i guess they either don't know a lot about immigration/customs issues or they just want my friend to hire them.

many thanks.
