He will look at you, and then impose the fine.

Your honor....I was traveling down the road thinking about the judicial system in our country. Contemplating the overwhelming fairness of our system of justice and the reality that everyone has the opportunity to express their opinion. While so traveling down the road and quite frankly overcome with pride for our system it appears that my feet were dancing with joy and accidentally hit the vehicles accelerator which caused me to increase my speed to 60 on a 40 km/hr highway. While I could not be declared to be legally trained....I do think that the responsibility for my excess speed, which I freely admit, is the joy I feel for our legal system.
This is probably something the judge hasn't heard before, will probably make him laugh, I doubt that he will give you a break but you never really know.....do you? You've got to have some fun in life...take a chance.

Your best bet is to plead guilty, admit responsibility, say you weren't paying close enough attention to your speed, and ask for leniency. Many judges will give you a break if you own up to your mistake and don't try to make excuses. If you try to weasel out of it or go in with an attitude the judge is going to HAMMER you.

Yeah, honestly, just give the truth. Be respectful and apologetic. Has gotten me out of more tickets than I can count.
