thousands of men get girls pregnant and then run off, never to be seen again, and never paying a penny for the kids' upbringing.

in terms of child neglect, that's far worse than the mccanns.

yet nobody mentions it.

society is a failure.

I think its a shame this Police man in question was ever allowed near this case, because I feel he has tainted it. Whether he did what is alleged to that mother ( of Joana) or not, I think it will be used by the McCanns as a reason why the case against them is unsafe.
The story I heard about the missing girl Joana, is a very nasty tale, and her mother has been jailed for 16 years for her murder. Do not forget, that this is probably the case.
I dont think the two cases are all that similar. It seems in the interests of both the Team McCann, and the family of Joana to try and blame an abductor.
The Porty police could have some evidence that will eventually come out.

The reporting of evidence and theory in this case has more twists than a mile of Spaghetti on a plate!
The only thing I know is that the statistics for missing children are very high, in Portugal they are worse than that, they are appalling and many of them seem to be 'abduction' cases.
That Policeman is supposed to have beaten and Tortured that woman into a false confession, would you want HIM questioning YOU?
I even read that the Police are suspected of running an 'abduction ring'
It's hard to know what is happening but one thing I'm not convinced of is the parents guilt!
I'll wait to see what real evidence is produced in a Court of Law and then decide whether to believe it or not.

The case of little Maddie, has been a mystery to me from the begining, the parents should already be charged with neglect, for leaving the 3 children alone in the first place,We live in an age where you cant leave your child outside a shop to pop in for a newspaper. even ,so in the first inst:; why have these parents still got custody of the other 2 children,? further more, ,i myselfe am more for them finding Maddie, if she is dead ,and feel this is probably the case,, let us lay this child to rest in a manner we all wish for her ,
As for the senior police investigator working on Maddie,s case, one word ,DISGUSTING, this case has more twists than a snakes belly,

I am getting really sick of this case. What I can't understand is why they don't have Social Services on their backs for leaving the children alone in the first place. Oh of course, they are middle class Doctors. If it was anybody else the twins would now be in care.

They are referring to another case of a child going missing in Portugal, the mother was accused of killing her daughter but the family said she was beaten by the police into admitting she had killed her, it was close to where Maddy went missing and the body was never found.

I haven't heard about this , But every day there is something new .
I just don't know what to believe anymore .
If she is alive i hope she's happy with people who really wanted her. .
If the worse has happened ,i hope they find her soon so we can have closer .
Even though it would be terrible

I do not know what to believe, who to believe or what to think any more. I really believe that they will never find poor little Maddie and that is so sad, I just hope that whatever happened to her, she died very quickly and was not scared or in pain.

this case is like my favourite book series by frank Herbert

plots within plots , plans within plans and lies with in lies. the chances are nothing will ever be settled in it..

we must remember two things in this case.

1 Maddy: were is she , what happened to her.

2 the parents: they are innocent until proven otherwise
