me and my friend were at the mall and got caught shop lifting a 20 dollar bra and they are having us pay 10 times the amount each, but one of us was the one who actually did it and the other was just there, so when they took us into custody they had us sign papers with out telling us what they were and our parents werent there yet, and when we went to read the papers they told us 'are you deaf we said sign them.', isnt that against the law to have minors sign legal statements with out parents?? and do you think we need a lawyer for this because they said we didnt, we would just have to fess up to what we did and do what the judge says. Plus is there a way to get this wiped off of our records so that we can get scholarships for college still or will they not except us??

i was watching cops and a young cop on the show said that he was so young when he joined the force, that his mom had to buy his gun because he could'nt buy his own?

buy??? cops have to "buy" their own guns? i thought sidearms were departmental issue? i mean, the army does'nt make soldiers buy their own equipment

so if cops have to buy their own guns, do they have a choice of any sidearm? could they buy a desert eagle or a flintlock musket if they wanted that as their sidearm?

i bought the optional waiver insurance, i gave them the police report, they are still threatning me and harrassing me, they come and kock on my dooor every day . i never open it can i get a restraining order. rent a center is rediculious

I have just received some "Complaint- Sworn, and Summons' in the mail requesting my presence at a Magistrates Court in Brisbane in a few weeks in regards to some traffic offenses leading to a car accident.

I can not attend the summons because it's INTERSTATE (I live in Adelaide). There isn't any contact information. I just want to pay the fine/fee specified on the sheets and leave everything be. What do I do???

Someone down our street keeps insisting on putting a make-shift barrier outside their property inorder to reserve a parking space. Is this legal? I'm just curious really, I've got no car so no vested interest - it just doesn't seem very fair!)

I'm just a little upset, because, just before midnight on friday night I was pulling out of my street and I had my windows down. I heard a sound like someone comming at me and I let off the gas and froze for a sec.; I just couldn't believe someone would be comming at me so quick. When I saw the car I sped up. It just barely missed me doing 70 mph in a 40 mph zone. As he went passed and I turned to see I saw lights on top of the car (not on or flashing, just there). It was a cop! I couldn't believe a police officer almost hit my car, possibly injuring or killing myself or my girlfriend who was in the passenger seat!

It was a stupid seat belt violation. Ive never had a ticket before, I got pulled over once but it was a minor thing during New Years downtown sacramento and no citation was written up. How much do you think the ticket will be? Should I go to court? Im a paramedic student and I really just need this to go away. Any info would help thanks.

My question is why is it they don't send you a certified letter to tell you that you need to have your insurance monitored for a year. They just mail out a letter and hopefully you get it. Because if you don't, your liscence is suspended, without notification. And you get thrown in jail, like you commited a murder. How do you go about changing the law to where they HAVE to send you a certified letter.

I got into a little fender bender early this morning while I was parked in a Subway. We called the police and when the officer arrived, there came out of a beautiful mid-20's police officer, highly attractive. I mean an attractive cop, so I was automatically drawn.

I was eye-ing her while she pulled up and she noticed me checking her out while she was coming to. As soon as she steps out, I make a joke if she was there for the accident or to get a sandwich (cops come to this shop all the time at 3AM). She gives me a laugh and smiles as I tell her what happened.

She does the whole report deal. I even manage to get her on video and she jokingly says put the camera away. She then casually asks for my phone number and she writes it on a pad. I ask her for HER phone number and she says, "yea, you'll get it." She leaves a business card with her badge number. Contacting her is not a problem, as I have all the info I need. She didn't give me her PERSONAL number though.

Should I go for it?

Some investigation happened around where i live and they dna sampled every woman in the area.Some cop came to my house and wanted my dna sample so they could DNA ID me.I calmly opened my mouth and submitted to the procedure.She swabbed both my cheeks vigorusly for 5 mins,then she left.If you seen someone with a gun want to swab your cheeks for dna wanted can you really do but open your mouth and submit to it.Its not fair to me.Talk about shock and say awwe!!!!

I live in a condo, and am concerned that the adults leave the balcony door open. I constantly find toys, ect on the lawn. I worry that they are unsupervised and hear lots of partying going on, especially on holidays. I have called the HOA and was told to contact the police in the past, but this has done no good. I am fearful I will find a child on the lawn, next! Should I be worried? I contacted the HOA by email again and threatened them with Children and Families---?

Some girl 26 yr old,live in INDIA, have done her B.Sc maths, always good in studies, have faced 3 yr GAP in her studies after her graduation because of her MOTHER'S severe sickness for 3 yrs.
Now her father is FORCING her emotionally, to get married as her age of marriage has come.
He has DENIED COMPLETELY TO PAY HER FEES for further studies though HE IS ENOUGH RICH to do that.
He says now he will spend only for her marriage nothing other than that.
BUT she want to do 3yr MCA course before getting married because ....she know she will not be able to study after her marriage as she know her nature that.....she can't study in unfavourable & difficult situations &
SHE DON'T WANT TO RISK HER CARRIER BY GETTING MARRIED BEFORE COMPLETION OF STUDIES.
There is no other financial support for her other than her father.

MY QUESTION IS :::::----------IS THERE ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT TO HELP SUCH 26 YR OLD UNMARRIED GIRL IN LEGAL SYSTEM OF INDIA?

of the pink ticket but nobody is answering. I know I'm supposed to show up in court on wednesday 05/30/2007. Since I live in Bloomington, IN which is about 6 hours from where the court is, I'd like to postpone the court date but not sure of how to do that. Who should I talk to about that? He was shouting at me from inside his car with the windows rolled up. I was the only one driving through a school zone, well below the speed limit. He looked right at me and yelled something. He did not follow me or pull me over. No one else was there.

This keeps happening. What do they want? I am frustrated because I can't appease them or help them in any way. I am not a minority, so that doesn't explain it either.

i farted by this dude in an aelevator and it killed him.... i swear omg like not instanly but he started having problesm so i took him to the hospital and he died...the doctor said he died because he inhaled a poisoiun gas or somthing like that, i will come clean and tell them everything about my fart and how it accidectly killed a guy, but can i face punishment it was a total accident!
