1. You get arrested.
2. You go to court and if convicted face a stiff fine and possible jail time.
3. DMV is notified and the time on your suspension is extended, or in an extreme case your license is revoked.

If you are on probation it will be considered you violated the terms of that agreement. You will be taken to jail. You will have to advise your PO of your arrest and answer in a court of law to the offense of driving with a suspended licence

driving while licence is suspended is a crime. You'll be taken to jail, may have to appear before a judge, and will likely have to post bail.
Isn't that what should happen?

Depends on what jurisdiction you are in. In many places, if you are driving on suspended you can be arrested and your car can be towed. Otherwise, you just get another ticket and you have another court date and then another fine.

It really depends on the officer whether you go to jail or not.they could do a cite and release in the field, meaning they arrested you and released you right their. if you violated probation, you will probably go to jail, your car WILL BE impounded for 30 day's tho, that is a given.
