i bought the optional waiver insurance, i gave them the police report, they are still threatning me and harrassing me, they come and kock on my dooor every day . i never open it can i get a restraining order. rent a center is rediculious

Your first mistake was renting a computer.

These rental places are nothing short of legal loan sharks.

Since it was a rental and not your private property they have the right to either get the actual value of what you would have paid to buy it or the computer. You can try to go through the courts if you still have copies of the paperwork listed above and have a judge do something official about it but it may be a lost cause.

You have rights too, I suggest you get a lawyer. You have done your part by filing a police report. You paid for insurance so they shouldn't be harassing you. This is why I dislike companies like that they are just plain greedy. I suggest when you want something save up for it vs paying 4 times what its worth.

don't get a restraining order - hire a lawyer to meet them at the door instead.

if 'hiring' isn't an option, then get one of those guys who gets something only if they win your case.

renting you stolen goods has got to be a violation of the contract that you signed with RAC.

review that contract and SUE them - the cops are probably there to scare you away from this most logical of options...
