We are debating in my criminnal justice class about wherther or not convicted sex offenders deserve a second chance at freedom? I say they don't deserve to get out of prison. What do you think? Do you think sex offenders (Child molesters, rapists, etc.) should be paroled? Why or why not?

I understand that Simpson could not be tried again for the murders due to double jeopardy, but I was wondering with today's Simpson announcement, is there any loophole or clause to this law which could change or override the double jeopardy law?

Should the Police in the UK have the right to say they don’t want to be armed?

In my view, NO. I think by refusing to be armed they are putting peoples lives in danger. The standard policy of the Police when dealing with an incident possibly involving a knife or a gun is to observe from a safe distance but not to intervene. The are required to wait for an armed response vehicle to attend before taking any action. This can take from 15 to 45 mins to arrive depending on the area. In my view this is not providing the best service to the public who require an instant response by police equipped to deal with any situation.

Dont use this as an excuse to slate me, im interested because an American gentleman reckons we all sleep on duty and can't read or write, i feel this is unfair as we work hard and are reasonably fair understanding people, thanks for your comments.

You can get a fine for eating a kit kat while driving, 3 points for using a mobile. Yet you are allowed to light up and smoke while driving with impunity. Whats more likely to cause a crash, a bit of kitkat on your lap or hot sig ash???

You can't tell me that you are paying attention to the road ahead while you are lighting up, and how do you keep both hands on the wheel while smoking?

Totaly off at a tangent, i was a car salesman for 14 years, The smell of smoke in a car and the nicotine tinge to the interior knocks about 10 to 20% of the trade-in value of a used car.

It says on the front of ciggerett boxes "SMOKING KILLS"

Fine, if you want to kill yourself go for it, just try not to take anyone out with you on the way.

I found out something shocking about my wife sisters boyfriend.......What should I do?

Earlier today I saw a post on here where a woman was talking about hiring a private eye to investigate her daughters boyfriend. Somebody mentioned the link http://background-records.net/ as a good place to find info online. Well I checked out the site and entered my sisters in law's boyfriends name and found out that he was convicted of armed robbery in 1999. I know this is him because the name, date of birth, and address are all the same. I am sure my sister in law doesn't know (and I am damn sure her dad doesn't know).......should I tell my sister in law or her dad? I don't know how to handle this situation

Ok i have now been to a lot of meetings and like the meetings. However, I have one issue I have not been able to stomach. I have seen a number of females accept a kiss on the lips from a male and the same with the males accepting a kiss from a female. I was raised to give a hug to the same sex and a handshake to the opposite sex. So what is up with this. I know I am new to AA and I do not understand but I want to understand. So tell me what is up?

*I know you have to be 18 to be legally free of your parents but, I was told from people who have been through this that at 17 if you leave, the police can not force you to go back home. Is this true. Don't respond f you don't know for sure.
