You might be thinking about a disposition. This is another word for sentencing. In Indiana, we use the word "disposition" for juveniles, and use "sentencing" for adults.

If you are talking about a criminal disposition, it is just how the criminal case was disposed of - either by plea or trial or dismissal.
If you are talking about a criminal deposition, they are very rare, but basically are questions being asked of a witness outside of court under oath.

If you mean deposition, it is a testimony given outside of trial to avoid having to appear. It allows the attorneys to gather facts regarding a case so there are no "surprises" when they go to court.
It can also mean when a criminal is investigated by police and he chooses to go "on the record" with his statement.
If you mean criminal disposition, then that's just the inclination of a person to commit criminal acts.
