he's at the mens central jail in santa ana, CA. i sent him a letter. just wondering how long it takes?

As soon as possible because there is no probihition of mails to to inmates as long as the items being sent are authorized.

In Georgia, usually the same day it arrives at the Prison. It is opened, and checked for contraband, and stapled shut and sent to the Dorm for the Officer to distribute. Prison staff don't read the mail, simply check it for contraband.

A few days to get to the jail and another day for the guards to read it, before they give it to him!
